WHO: Brian and Meggan
WHAT: Brian can't sleep
WHERE: Her sleeping area
WHEN: Late Thursday night
Brian got out of his cot and went down the hall. The sleeping arrangements had been divided into a few rooms full of cots and footlockers. Brian poked his head into the room Meggan was in. Unable to see faces and hair colours in the dark, he walked around the beds quietly smelling the room. When he found that earthy floral smell that identified Meggan he sat on the floor next to her cot. He put his hand on hers, trying to be gentle not to wake her. He was hoping he could absorb some of that calm she exuded.
