WHO: Alex, Lorna, and Mr. Sinister
WHAT: Lunch in Salem Center
WHERE: In the private back corner of a Panera
The place offered a little privacy because you picked your food up and took it to the table. No waiters or busboys would be by to overhear. There was a door to the outside so that they could duck out if Lorna's hair started to show beneath her wig or someone started to stare. It was really ideal and the divider that hid them from the other tables made Alex comfortable as he picked at the bread bowl his chowder had been served in.
Nathaniel Essex was talking about credit and how it was in their best interest to take out a small loan or open whatever credit card they could get. Maybe Scott would cosign? Alex hadn't told Lorna about the three million dollar check Mr. Stark had written them, yet. He didn't want to tell Mr. Essex at all.

Subject: Missing (Lorna and Alex Summers)
Lorna and Alex Summers had an appointment this afternoon in town. They were cleared to leave but have not returned. Her cell phone goes right to voice-mail and his rings continually.
I've called the hospitals and they did take a John Doe fitting Alex's description this afternoon. Someone found him unable to move.
I need Logan and Annie to go to the hospital. Find out if it is Alex and if so where he was picked up. I'll need Logan to sniff out the scene for any familiar encounters. Erik has already gone out to check a few of their regular haunts to make sure they aren't just out of cell phone range. I'll be on Cerebro and should not be disturbed unless you find sign of them.
The best thing the rest of the staff can do for me is to supervise the children and make sure nobody else leaves the grounds.

Logan pounded on Annie's door after reading Charles' email. He had just been about to enjoy a beer in the bath when he'd gotten a telepathic urgent suggestion to check his mail. A night ruined. He thought Summers had better damn well be "dead" again or he was going to smack the kid for running off and forgetting to turn his cellphone on.

WHO: Zeb and Wanda
WHAT: A little fun
WHERE: The rec room

Zeb had been thinking a lot about who he needed to align himself with, what Professors had the strongest connections. Xavier seemed likely to help anyone who asked. It was Miss Frost and Mr. Lehnsherr that interested Zeb most. They were like-minded people, people who sought power and connections to further their own causes. They were persuasive. Zeb knew these were the people to follow, but Erik seemed unwilling to accept a non-X-Gene mutant. Zeb had to make himself more valuable.
And there was Wanda. She had a thing for him, right? She was certainly pleasing to look at. There were far worse ways to get into her father's graces. Zeb found her in the rec room. He leaned on the door frame and watched her, not speaking up to announce his arrival.
