Remy really wasn't sure how much he could do for Rogue for Valentine's Day. Time had eased only slightly how the public felt about Remy. They had started to forget about it for the most part - but the scary ones were the ones that held on to that knowledge. He sighed. He was starting to get better at moving around with dark glasses and a baseball cap, changing up the things he wore, trying to talk as little as possible. But moving from motel to motel had started to take its toll on him. The glasses his his dark eyes, helped to conceal a little his gaunt cheeks. His jaw was bristled with some light scruff. But he had bought some fresh clothes the previous night - going really late, when the store was getting ready to close, made it easier to get in and out, few questions asked.
He had been more than a little disappointed with the cancellation. Playing phone tag was not the same as finally seeing her, though he was glad to hear her voice over not having any communication with her at all. But the way she kept moving around, not letting him close. He tried to track her down, but he had a hard time moving around the city, which seriously impeded him. But when she called, asking him to meet him, finally, on Valentine's Day... well, few days could have been better for meeting and hopefully rekindling all their emotions. He had grabbed a large bouquet of roses - not really caring that he'd stolen them - and had them in his hands. He didn't really have his plans as thought through as he'd liked. He knew he would be taking her out to a restaurant known for its mood lighting - there were only very dim lights in the place, and he hoped it would keep them from being noticed and recognized.
But all the disasters of the past... Mon Dieu, he'd lost how long it had been... they flitted away from his mind when he saw Rogue. He meant to keep his cool, walk right up to her suave as ever. But halfway to her, he gave up. He ran forward, throwing his arms around her, careful of the bouquet, and swept her up into his arms, holding her close. "Oh, Roguie..."
