Raven wasn't a 'good will to man' sort of woman by any means. Nor was she fat and jolly, although she did enjoy the color red from time to time. But even she could respect the time of the season and the giving of gifts to certain individuals who she'd come to care for. In her own certain way.
She'd had a couple of students deliver the items for her while she worked on some last few items at the office. She'd been busying herself with work lately...although not everything was for the Institute.
The gifts were many, including small trinkets to the various other professors and staff members. But she also paid special attention to the members of her Thunderbolts team. Items such as handsome watches for the men and thoughtful jewelery for the ladies were handed out in ornate little boxes. In example was Felicia, who received a onyx cat's eye pendant with a small note card that simply read: Continue to strive towards your goals. I expect great things from you. Happy Holidays ~ R
To her daughter Rogue, was sent a lovely new fur-lined green winter coat in a large box, with some smaller boxes containing new boots, some accessories, and three pairs of warm gloves. The card accompanying them read: Merry Christmas, sweetheart! Here's to a brand new year! It needed no signature.
To Kurt, two boxes box were delivered to his room containing a warm white turtle neck sweater and a warm black button up coat. There was no note or card as to where it had come from.
Xavier was sent an engraved silver pocket watch and Erik was sent elegant wrist watch that was by no means ordinary, for contained within it were a variety of small gadgety devices such as a tiny blade, a stainless steel cable that spooled out to form a garrote, and a tiny lock pick set. The card included with Erik's deceptive gift simply read I thought you might find it amusing. ~R
And finally, Jono was sent a small gift as well. A silver ring engraved with a celtic knot The only message was a small note written in an ornate hand that read: Arise today through a mighty strength.
With her gifts sent out on their way to the doorsteps of their intended, Raven leaned back in her chair and helped herself to a cup of cocoa.
