Karima loved the way the sun sparkled over the mansion's frozen grounds, buring orange and red in the fading dark sky. It reminded her of India and was probably the only thing around here that did. It was strange to be surrounded by so many different people and none she could truly trust. They were all still so untouchable for the raven hared teen despite her being here for so long. They went about and laughed, passing out things freely and trusting everyone. Omega could never do that, growing up poor in the village had left her forever jaded when it came to making friends. Someone was always out to steal what little you have because they had less. So far it seemed to be different here, but how long would that last? The mutant incident that resulted in loss of human life was sure to cause a stir here and not all of it in their favor. This place would not be any different than India soon.
She shivered, pulling her light jacket tighter around her bare shoulders, earrings jingling in her ears and licked her dry lips. Perhaps some training would clear her head...
