Who: Ganieda of Britain and OTA What: An Arrival Where: the Beach. it's a rather startling place...
Ganieda was even more disenchanted with life now that she'd become engaged. She was truly no longer free. Now every step she made was scrutinized, every move planned. And, of course, she mustn't hex the ladies and gentlemen guarding her, though she did itch to do so.
Indeed, the priests even told her that 'perhaps she shouldn't use her magic', which confused her.
If King Rodarch didn't want a sorceress for a wife, why did he ask for her?!
"Men," she muttered darkly to herself.
Well, now she couldn't hex her guardians...but she could make herself disappear. And so she did, and in the melee surrounding her sudden disappearance, she ran out to the apple orchards.
It did feel good to be alone, though she was still downhearted to think that she would marry a man that she didn't even know. She moped along with her head down, not even paying attention...
...until suddenly the relative cool of the orchards gave way to bright sunlight and baking heat! Ganieda raised her eyes and blinked. Never before has she seen a place like this! And...there is sand between her toes. The water is so blue! and the trees so strange!
"Well," she murmured. "It seems that I have an adventure of my own..."
