WHO: Lisa Turpin & OPEN! (That means ANYONE!) WHAT: Lisa is studying... or TRYING to. WHEN: After dinner-ish? Thursday evening. WHERE: The Library. RATING: T for Teen?
Thursday evenings were always the dull evenings to Lisa, it wasn't quite the weekend, and it was too far into the week to be considered a weekday. It was one of those days that really weren't necessary. Thursdays were usually the day where the most homework was due, and all the tests were scheduled. One test in particular -- Ancient Runes -- sent her into a panic attack. Just like her parents predicted, it was going to be on the runes Ehwaz and Eihaz, and it was just like Lisa to completely blank out during the test. After over hearing all her housemates going on about the test during dinner, Lisa KNEW she failed, she just knew it. A polite nod would be given to Mandy and her housemates, as Lisa pulled all her books together and darted out of the Great Hall to go shove some more knowledge down her throat in the library. Leave it to Lisa to skip meals just to study some more. The girl sometimes seemed like an airhead, but beneath all the giddy giggles, and blonde hair there was a fully functional brain in there capable of storing knowledge that others would just shrug off.
Slinking off into the furthest corner, she didn't want to be seen in such a state of panic. Flinging the books down onto the table, many of them opened up automatically, and quick notes quills stood at attention to write from where they left off. Grabbing one of the biggest books in the pile, it was the ancient runes book. Shrugging off her robe, she flung it onto the chair, and climbed to sit on the table. Whoever would really know Lisa would know this was the sitting position when studying very hard. Facing the window, Lisa sat there on the top of the desk, turning pages desperately to find the chapter on Ehwaz and Eihaz runes. Legs were dangling off the edge, and crossed at her ankles. White knee high socks met black pumps as they dangled off her toes as she swayed her legs back and forth. The typical Hogwarts uniform hugged those slim curves. Sleeves were unbuttoned but pulled taut over her hands, as she nervously nibbled on the seem of her left sleeve. Her blue and bronze tie was loosened from around her neck. Ravenclaw crest caught the dim candle light of the room, as blonde hair was pulled into a pony tail, perfectly curled ringlets cascaded down her back. Blue grey eyes were focused intently on skimming the pages to find the information needed.
The girl was on a mission. And when Lisa Turpin is determined... she will find the information even if it's the last thing she does!
