Ron took a long moment to process her words, turning them over in his head and considering them. He supposed she was right, really. Ginny wasn't an idiot, he knew that. And much as he'd like to pretend she was a kid still, because that was how it had been for so long, he knew it wasn't the case.
Besides, it was Harry. What did he think Harry was ever goign to do to her? It had been a bit daft, really, because not only did Harry know what Ron would do to him if he bollocksed it all up, Ron knew Harry would never hurt his sister on purpose. He wouldn't play head games, and he was very clearly serious about her. What more could Ron ask for? Plus, if they did the restaurant thing instead of the auror thing, Ron wouldn't even have to worry about Harry going and dying on Gin and hurting her that way. It wasn't as if baking was all that dangerous an occupation, after all.
"Yeah," Ron said, to all of it. Lav was right about Ginny and she was right about their tempers. They were both typical Weasleys. They got mad, sure, but really, especially with family, they never stayed mad long. Hell, they'd even forgiven Percy, and he had been a prat for months.
Much as Ron would be reluctant to admit it, Lavender sitting in his lap and running her hand through his hair would probably calm him down from about anything.
He managed a bit of a sheepish smile for her then and said, "You know I love you pretty bloody madly, right?"
