Stefan hated what he had done to Elena, a note was all she had in the way of an explination, but he wasn't willing to risk her life again so he had done what he had to. Stefan left in the dark of night, leaving no trace of himself behind. The only thing left to show that the Salvatore brother's had lived there was the old boarding house that now housed one tennant as to keep anyone unwelcome out. Only slight traces of the brothers remined in the town he once called home and thats how it needed to be.
As Stefan thought on these things, as he pondered everything he left behind he walked through the new town he called home. Though he wasn't certain how this town was any different than Mystic falls, there was one similarity that worried Stefan, many innocent people that he could hurt and all he wanted was a drink. Fighting the urge to pull someone into a dark alley and have his way, Stefan kept walking, passing each person balling and relaxing his fist as he did.
Finally unable to take it anymore, wondering if he pushed himself too soon with the need for human blood still too fresh Stefan forced himself to duck into an alley, palms against the nearest wall he closed his eyes and rested his forehead against the cool brick wall, though it felt to be warmer than his own skin. This had to work, Stefan had done it before, he had fought the urges and won, he didn't want to be the animal, the killer that his kind was known for, he wanted to be better than that and as long as he reminded himself of that he would be fine, he hoped.
Taking a few more moments, eyes finally, slowly opening, Stefan repeated these desires to himself, the desires to be good and not a killer, and finally he stood back away from the wall. A few more moments passed and then the younger Salvatore turned and headed back for the main walkway, little did he know that he had just worked through the easiest part of his day.
