Elskede. It was one word Sookie was able to say well of all the words he had taught her from his maiden tongue. It made him smile when the word passed through her lips. "Elskede," he responded in a quiet, sensual whisper. Eric then chose to help Sookie pronounce his interpretation of the word split-a-part or soul mate. "Sál ást," he separated the words for her that were combined from Old Norse to create the word "soul love".
Eric nearly rolled off the couch when Sookie said her next words. First he thought she was going to have some sort of discussion about his homeland, but the direction she took it was beyond anything he could have ever expected. Deciding to take this moment to explain everything to her he answered, "You have to drink blood to make the change, Sookie." He hoped this conversation would either rest in the back of her mind for the time when she actually decided to make the change, but then again he almost hoped that she never made the change.
"You must have my blood in you at the time your heart stops beating or your body will die the final death," he continued.
Watching her slip into stiletto heels made him hard again. Naked Sookie in nothing but stilletos was a mental image he wanted to burn into the backs of his eyes to carry away with him every single time he went to sleep.
Pulling himself up to a sitting position Eric looked longingly at Sookie. "I hope you can fly when you are like me," he said with hope. "It would be amazing to fly with you."
