The concert had been... interesting. It had been a local college band, and she wasn't even certain how they'd ended up there. But they had. And now they were on the way back to her and Faith's place... for the first time. It was weird. He hadn't said no. One thing she knew was that the place was... basically clean. It was one thing that Emorie insisted on... not that it was clean clean, more like there weren't obvious signs of their occupations out and all over the place. It was something she'd internalized from her grandparents, back in the days when playdates had to be schedueled with them so they could hide everything.
Emorie unlocked the door. She was Alison tonight, like usual. Any time spent with Jim was good in her book, but she was a bit uneasy. Faith was out on patrol, this the reason she could bring him over. There was no way of identifying her. She couldn't help but watch him as they walked in. The building was one of those reserved for campus staff, and she realized how much she and Faith had lucked out by getting this place. It was close enough to where they both needed to be to be useful.
Admittedly Emorie's last several hunts had been something of a bust. Someone else had gotten there first. Again. It was starting to be a bad habit and she was getting frustrated. While she knew there were other hunters in the area, it was nice to put out feelers before you trownsed on someone else's case. It made her frustrated and she wanted to glare at something, but couldn't. It would have made her stand out, especially when he was looking at you. "Welcome to the house," she said with a small smile. It was rather large, and there was room for many people, she was comfortable here. Much better than having a crummy hotel room. "Um..." she actually stumbled over her words a bit. "Why don't you come in," she said with a grin. This was the first guy she'd brought back since she'd arrived. Ignoring the incident with scott, she culdn't remember the last guy who'd been brought to their apartment. And she was excited - it helped take the edge off the fact that her case wasn't going so well. Not like she could talk to HIM about that. HA! Tonight was about having fun. She'd really missed him.
