"Well that's what I'm really trying to prove... but if I called it a 'ghost hunt' my professor would laugh me right out of his office. Ghosts aren't supposed to exist! And I don't think he believes," she sighed, shrugging. "Living the college dream, right?" she laughed. "Go to school, get a liberal arts education. Start studying ghosts." She shook her head. "If mom and dad were alive, they'd be..." well actually nothing. And she never talked about her parents. Her dad would be telling her that having this, this thing with her and Jim, was a waste of time. That she should be focusing. But eventually he'd have accepted it right? "Well... never mind." She managed a small smile. He'd probably figured out there was a reason by now, but she didn't talk about it. What was she supposed to say? 'Demons killed my family'? Yeah that would go over well.
The descripton made her flash to her own brother and she smiled. "Let me guess. He has the leather jacket and the girls seem to flock to him?" she smirked. She glanced at him. "Seems larger than life when you're little? He sounds like my brother. I guess every family has to have one." She chuckled. "But when they make fun of you? You spout off some random fact, or a word they could never pronounce, and they shut up... or call you a geek. Either way they leave you alone." She remembered the good days, before he went missing. But this wasn't the time for a stroll down memory lane. She wanted to be here, in the moment.
"Its... nice." she was going to say normal but decided not to at the last minute. She was about to say more when the waiter came by to get their orders. She'd decided on a cobb salad, while she wasn't really watching her weight (running around as much as she did on hunts it really helped) she just liked them, and a soda. She waited until he'd ordered to take his hand again and smile. "So, what do you have planned for us tonight?" she was eager to find out. She hadn't asked in the text because she hadn't really had time... there were quite a few injuries that had to be seen to first so she COULD be here, right now. "I'm not sure that anything could top movie night from last week," she smiled. She wasn't sure if it was a good thing, but over the last few weeks... she'd fallen for this guy... this... civilian. And that - to an extent - was dangerous.
