Part Two
“You’re so cold, Sanzo,” Gojyo told the monk early the next morning as the man pushed his clothes into his hands.
Sanzo glared at him. “You have to go before someone notices you.”
Gojyo pretended to pout. “You mean you’re ashamed of me? I’m hurt!”
“Quit fooling around!” the blonde said as he pushed him toward the door. “I just don’t want to hear Hakkai’s mouth or see that disapproving look of his. He’s too valuable for me to shoot.”
“Aren’t I valuable, too?”
“No.”
“At least let me use your shower. What if one of them catches me in the hallway? They’d surely smell you on me…”
“Fine!” Sanzo agreed finally. “Just be quick about it.”
“Thank you, Sanzo-sama,” Gojyo drawled. He laid a quick kiss on the man’s cheek before hurrying toward the bathroom to avoid any retaliation, leaving Sanzo to glare at his retreating form.
After Gojyo freed the shower so that Sanzo could take one of his own, the monk emerged to find Gojyo still in his room, sitting on his bed putting on his shoes.
“Bastard, what are you still doing in here?”
“I was getting dressed,” Gojyo replied innocently.
“As if it takes you that long… Turn around!” Sanzo insisted as he grasped his clothing draped over the end of the bed.
“It’s not like I haven’t seen it all before,” Gojyo muttered as he complied.
After he’d dressed, Sanzo poked his head out of the door, noting that the hallway was empty. “You leave first. I don’t want one of the others to see you come out of this room.”
Gojyo moved forward, placing a hand on the monk’s shoulder. “Aww! Sanzo’s so cute when he’s nervous.”
“Why you-” Sanzo started to say, but was interrupted by the sound of a door opening. A woman stepped outside of the room next door to stride down the hallway. She stopped to stare at the two men in the doorway, her mouth gaping as her eyes fell upon Sanzo.
The monk frowned, annoyed. “Is there a problem?”
The woman was speechless for a moment, her face red, before speaking. “N-no… It’s none of my business, but those robes… are you a…?”
“Yes,” he answered, knowing what she meant. “And?”
“Um,” she said, not meeting his eyes. “It’s just that you were rather… loud last night…”
Sanzo’s face reddened as he scowled at her before turning away. “As if you should talk,” he muttered, Gojyo chuckling as he followed behind him.
