"I'm a member of the crew now," Sway told him in a rushed whisper, "Well on paper at least, but isn't that wonderful?!" She reached up and hugged his neck, then remembered what Farah said, wondering if this was teasing. She didn't mean to tease him. Yet she couldn't make herself pull back.
She laughed and bit her lip before telling him. Would he think her a freak? Was that part of his attraction? Hers wasn't all physical, she knew that much. Scary, but true.
"When I was young my mother had a friend who was experimenting with nanobyte technology. The hair was the most he could do, and luckily no side effects. See?" She shook her hair a touch and it turned multicolored before settling on pink.
"What do you think?" Her stomach was in knots. Would he think her odd? Well, they all thought she was strange, but this was something that was apart of her. And she hadn't even told him about the mutualism, just an effect of it.
