With only a handful of readers at IJ at this point, as well as the cons of hardcoding usernames,¹ we will code all usernames as
If another journalling site is not indicated in parentheses - like the second link - assume the link goes to LJ.
¹ Hardcoding cons:
- Extra work for editors.
- Readers who have all images turned off on their f-page will get annoying holder images for usergifs, making issues longer to scroll past.
- Name-changes/deleted or suspended journals won't show up as such.
² Possibly if we link to other journalling sites often enough, we will shorten to IJ, GJ, etc. in the future.

for the time being, adding (Insanejournal)/etc. as relevant² - e.g.: the_willow³ posts on "That One Black Friend" (InsaneJournal).This means all usernames will show up as journals on the site you're reading on (i.e. LJ users for LJ readers, IJ users for IJ readers). However, if the link goes to another journalling site, the username may not exist where you're reading.
