"Yes," Sam said, brow furrowing even further. She'd thought they'd gotten past the part where he was confused about her identity. Had gotten past that rather quickly, in fact, within minutes of 'meeting' each other via the network. Seeing each other in person had been weird anyway, but they'd fallen into the same patterns. "I know I'm not the Sam you know, but I'm still Sam. You're still Cas. I thought we'd gone over that."
She lowered her hand from his shoulder, because it seemed too familiar a gesture if he was still struggling to figure out who she was. But she stayed where she was, within arm's reach, in case he stumbled and fell or something. He almost looked like he might faint.
"Did you get knocked on the head, or something?" She couldn't see any injury, and besides, he was an angel-- it would take more than that to confuse him this much. She was betting it was the 'or something'.
