Who: Castiel (_castiel_) and Anna Milton When: Valentine's Day Where: NYC streets Rating: Low Warnings: Flirting and stuff that Lisa Frank would draw? Summary: It's Valentine's Day...and they're doing things. If by doing things, you mean adopting an orphaned animal.
It wasn't that Anna felt uncomfortable. She'd worn skirts millions of times in her life, whether it was just for church, a date, or some party on campus that she'd been dragged to by her roommate and her roommate's friends. There was no reason for her to be tugging at the faded denim mini or the pink t-shirt or constantly feeling to remember if she'd shaved her legs since her Grave left her as she was from the moment she'd taken it back. She supposed it just felt strange because somewhere along the lines, she'd forgotten that changing clothes was even possible. It was almost as if that blue trenchcoat and jeans were her armor...
But, then it could also have been the fact that she was currently waiting on Cas. On Valentine's Day. She didn't really know if it were a date or not, but in case it was, she figured she may as well make an effort. It probably made no difference to him, but apparently some old habits died harder than others. And technically, it didn't matter. She still had the coat on. Just in case.
Valentine's Day wasn't really a holiday Anna had ever put much stock into anyway. Aside from teh chocolate, but she'd always been of the opinion that she didn't need a man to give it to her. She always went to the store like everyone else. And chances were, Cas would be getting dragged to one.
Anywhere so long as it got them both off the ship for a while. After Suri's virus for lack of a better term, she wasn't so sure it was just sunlight that they needed. They needed time away from the ship to appreciate it again. Or at least she did, since she knew Cas didn't enjoy it. And really, they needed to figure this new thing between them out. For better or worse...without it sounding like a marriage.
Looking up at him from outside the door, she smiled nervously. "You ready to go?"
