Who: Carr and Kris What: Walk of shame When: Thursday, early morning Where: Carr & Kris’ motel Warnings: Plenty of innuendo
Carr yawned as he pulled into the motel parking lot, a jaw-cracking yawn that had him nearly crashing his bike into a streetlight, wobbling as he drew to a halt. He and Gio had been up most of the night between naps and some food, with another round this morning instead of breakfast.
He hadn’t had time for a shower before leaving, and he was well aware that he absolutely reeked of sex. That, and he was wearing last night’s clothes. He was hoping he could make it to his bedroom before Kris spotted him, get showered and changed and head out to work. He should have enough time, just as long as he didn’t get caught up. Or fall asleep in the shower.
Kris had yet to find a job, but he was up early, having already eaten and was reading a book. He spent a lot of his time reading. It was an easy way to forget. He hadn't heard Carr come in the night before and when Kris heard his bike, he sat his book aside. Carr was all Kris had left of his pack. It made him a little crazy at times about keeping tabs and the like. When Carr disappeared randomly, Kris' wolf was tense. It had taken a long time for Kris to come back to pack life the first time and after losing the pack again, Carr was all he had left to keep him from slipping back into the wild.
The werewolf opened the adjoining door just as Carr walked into his room and immediately his nostrils flared. By them smell of it, hit brother-in-law had had a busy night with a woman. He couldn't help the snarl that slipped through his lips. Carr had been married to his sister, his twin. Yes, it had been years and yes, he knew his sister would want Carr to move on, to love again, but Kris was the one who couldn't let go. "I guess you had a long night." he growled out.
Carr stripped off his sweater, tossing it onto the floor as he kicked off his boots.
“Aye,” he answered shortly, sighing. He really wasn’t in the mood for putting up with Kris’ moodswings, and this one seemed to be a doozy. He’d had a long night, and as enjoyable as it might be, he was fucking exhausted. A large coffee, and he’d be feeling more like himself.
“You? Get up to much?” He was really hoping that Kris hadn’t just spent the night sitting in the motel - he really needed to get out more.
Kris' eyes narrowed and his grip on the door handle tightened. "I stayed in and read." he said in a tense voice, which was what he did pretty much every night. Sometimes he would go walking through the city at night, but mostly he just holed himself away. "Who was she?"
Carr shrugged, shoving down his jeans and stepping out of them, tossing them into the corner with his tshirt.
“Some lawyer bird from New Jersey,” he replied, not at all bothered about walking around naked in front of Kris. Any qualms about nudity had been lost years ago, when he’d joined the pack.
“Met her in that club with the cages for weres.”
Kris just nodded. "Are you planning on being caged this moon?" It was hard for Kris to keep Carr in line during the full moon on his own. He did his best and Carr had yet to kill anyone or curse anyone, but Kris was losing his own mind rapidly and feared one shift he just wouldn't come back to his human self and Carr would be left with no one to protect him and those around him.
Carr nodded, pawing through his bags for a clean-ish tshirt and jeans. No point in dressing up too much, he was going to be working in the garage. But he didn’t want to go in reeking of sex when he was working with another were.
“Yeah, I’ve got it all sorted with the bar manager. Seems like a good setup, I’m sure they’d show you if you wanted. Y’know, so you can see they’re not mistreating anyone.” He grinned at his brother-in-law, tossing his clean clothes onto the chair just outside the bathroom.
“I need to grab a shower, d’you want to keep talking, or...?” He gestured with his thumb towards the bathroom, looking questioningly at Kris.
"I'll do that." he said, and would. He wasn't going to let a damn thing happen to his last pack mate. He had a lot he wanted to say but there was really nothing to say. Carr slept with women here and there, to scratch that itch, and Kris hated it, but his shouting wouldn't change a damn thing. "No, it's fine. Go shower." he said and went back to his room, closing his door without another word.
Carr frowned, heading into the shower. Kris was quiet, unusually so, and Carr couldn’t help shake the feeling that his brother-in-law was disappointed in him. Not angry, just disappointed. Shrugging it off, Carr stepped under the hot water, sighing as it washed away the smell of sex, of him and Gio. Smirking, he leaned against the shower wall with one hand, the other curling around his cock as he stroked lazily, images of wet, tanned skin, of legs that went on forever, flickering across his closed eyelids.
