Alanna was a little unnerved to be put into the back of a police car. She kept her eyes down cast as Lucas helped her in and put her bag on the floor. She didn't have anything she needed to do her homework so it wasn't like it mattered anyway. When looked got in and took her hand, she relaxed an iota. She turned to him as he spoke, his words comforting. He would go against his mother for her, but at the same time, she didn't want him to lose his family over her. She squeezed his hand, but all words were still locked in her throat. Alanna hoped she understood she would stick by him too, no matter what.
