Justice had been out on patrol when the call had come in from dispatch that her son's school had phoned for her. She'd dropped her partner off back at the station, and headed over to Barrie. She was really hoping that it wasn't something important, and at the same time, knew it had to be.
She was in a foul mood before she even reached the Headmaster's office - Lucas was on a scholarship, he hadn't been at the school that long, and he was already getting in trouble. Not exactly the great start that she'd hoped for. She was a little amused by the looks she was getting as she walked down the hall, and made a mental note of the kids that looked a little too concerned to be seeing a cop in their school. It might not come to anything, but if she recognised them later, well...it might save some time.
Introducing herself to the secretary, she was glad that she wasn't made to wait too long before being shown into the Headmaster's office. Her train of thought completely derailed as she stepped inside, the air thick with hormones. Looking from Lucas to Alanna, and between them to their joined hands, her heart sunk to her boots. Not him, not her baby boy. He wasn't ready for this - hell, she wasn't ready for this.
Forcing her attention to the headmaster, she reached out and shook his hand. "I wish I could say it was a pleasure to see you again..." she murmured.
