Landon usually went shopping every other week for groceries, but having his baby sister living with him had certainly thrown a monkey wrench into the mix. Two people eating the food in the house made it disappear more quickly so he had to do shopping sooner than he usually would have. He didn't really mind though. He let Eden stay home, but brought a list of things she'd like with him because she was entitled to at least have some food in the house she wanted to eat. He still couldn't believe that their mother had kept the girl on such a strict diet. She was practically a twig for crying out loud.
He'd only worked half a day that day and figured that he could use the free time to get the grocery shopping out of the way. He made his way from one aisle to the next, picking up things here and there. It was as he was coming around one aisle and heading into another that he saw the woman drop the jar and then head in his direction.
He glanced around and saw an employee of the store and motioned for him to come over, pointing out the mess to which the man quickly went about cleaning up. Then Landon turned his attention to the woman and flashed her a smile. "Happens to the best of us, doesn't it?"
