It's real who: Alanna and Lucas what: Reality Hits when: After school where: Lucas' House warnings: Talk of teen pregnancy and doing what caused said pregnancy XD
Alanna sat at the kitchen table at Lucas' house, doing her homework. They had come to his place after school since her mom was back from Milan and Alanna really didn't want to see her. Whenever she was home she would lecture to Alanna how important appearance was and go down the list of boys from good families her mother wanted to set her up with. Considering Alanna was pregnant with Lucas' baby, the last thing she wanted was to hear her mother talk about suitable boys. She would never think Lucas was good enough for her daughter and Alanna didn't have it in her to lie anymore. She had been keeping Lucas a secret from day one and it hurt her to do so. Her parents would find out eventually. Everyone at school say how close they were. It would get back to her mother and Alanna would be in for it then.
As much as Alanna hated her parents for how they had basically abandoned her, they were still her parents. She still wanted them to be proud of her. This would infuriate them when they found out. Alanna had it all figured out, but emotionally she was a wreck. The fall out would be massive and all the joy she felt would be washed away in a sea of anger. Her pencil stilled on her math problems and she placed her hand on her belly.
She was pregnant. Her whole life was changing and Alanna was powerless to stop it. She was young, they both were. Much too young. All the love and money in the world would not stop this from being difficult and Alanna was scared. Scared she would do something wrong. Scared she would lose Lucas when the world came crashing down on them. Most of all she was afraid and failing as a mother. Her only role models barely acknowledged her existence. What could Alanna possibly know about being a good mother? All these thoughts had been keeping her up at night and tired as she was, trying to do her trigonometry with all this going through her mind, she broke down. Tears she couldn't stop came silently from her eyes and she sniffled, the numbers blurring on the page as tears filled her eyes, falling on her homework and smearing the ink.
