He couldn't bear the thought of losing her
who: Kavin & Kora
what: Cuteness
when: Wednesday Evening
where: Home
warnings: None
Kora had had a long day at school. Her wound from being shot on the full moon was almost healed, but it had been a silver bullet which took some time to heal. Her arm was no longer bandaged, but she was likely going to have a scar. She had seen on the news that others had been shot and someone had died. She was fortunate to be alive and that close call had had her rather clinging to Kavin. She didn't mean to be, but she was frightened. She was only going out of the house for essential things like school. She had forced herself to go to the grocery store that afternoon so she had made she and Kavin a nice dinner, which was delicious and now Kora was in living room, relaxing with a fire going. She didn't have classes the next morning so she was planning on spending time with Kavin and sleeping in in the morning.
Kavin didn't mind the clinging. If anything he was thankful for it as he was pretty clingy all on his own. He was worried about Kora and didn't like leaving her, even for work, but he knew some things just had to be done. At least the following day he wouldn't have to go in til an afternoon shift so the morning and the rest of the evening were all theirs. Kavin finished brushing his teeth and headed into the living room to settle in beside Kora on the sofa. His arm slipped around her shoulder and he pulled her body closer to his own. "How are you feeling?" he asked her, pressing a kiss to her hair.
Kora smiled, her arm sliding around his waist as he pulled her closer. She snuggled into his hold, letting out a content sigh. "Better now". she thought to him, her happiness at being so close spilling through her mind as she nuzzled him gently. This was what she needed, just to curl up with Kavin.
That got a smile from the young man. Knowing that he was able to make her feel even the slightest bit better was worth everything. He hated that she'd had to go through any hardships at all, but he was thankful that she didn't have to go through them alone. "Good." he murmured, gently resting his head against the top of hers. "I don't have to work til the afternoon tomorrow." he whispered. "Means I have hours to spend just like this."
She smiled softly, reaching over to take his hand in hers as she let out a content sigh while lacing their fingers. "That sounds perfect to me." she thought, leaning up and nuzzling him, inhaling his scent deeply. Kora was completely enamoured with him. The more time they spent together, the more she felt her wolf's desire to mate with Kavin was right.
Kavin smiled at her and when he could move to do so, he let his lips find hers in a soft little kiss. She'd scared him to death being hurt the way she'd been. He couldn't imagine what he'd do without Kora and the simple thought of it made him sick to his stomach. Perfect was definitely the word to describe it. This feeling. Anything less than perfect just wouldn't do it justice.
Kora was healing well and while it had been scary, she felt safe with Kavin. He kissed her and she kissed back, completely euphoric. His kisses were amazing and Kora would happily spend the rest of her life kissing him.
He smiled against her mouth when he finally broke the kiss. His hand moved up to gently brush through Kora's hair and he let his eyes meet hers. "How bout you and me watch a movie?" he suggested. "I can grab a blanket and we can curl up on the sofa."
She smiled up at him, swooning a bit from their kiss. "Sure." she thought, happily agreeing to anything at the moment. She didn't care what they did, so long as they were doing it together.
Kavin smiled a bit and gave her one more little kiss before heading out of the room to grab a blanket for the two of them. It only took a moment or two for him to return and settle beside her again, covering both of their laps and picking up the remote to find a movie for them to watch. This was just what he needed and just what Kora needed as well. Closeness and a quiet night could do them both some good.
