Jacob watched as Cathair shoved the picture in Viola's face and a bit of his own past retched up inside of him. This man had lost his wife and children the same as he'd lost his own and no matter how much time passed, that wound would never fully close up. It would be a scar for Jacob for all eternity and part of that was because he'd never exacted revenge upon those who'd murdered his wife and child. He'd let himself take the brunt of it all and now he was left to spend eternity with the sadness that always shown in his eyes.
With Viola's sentence carried out, Jacob signaled for a quick clean up of the mess and then moved to Cathair's side. He took the axe from the man and used his other hand to rest against his shoulder. "I hope this brings you some form of peace." he commented. "Do know that you've avenged them though." he breathed as he pulled his hand back and bent to retrieve the picture. He wiped the bit of blood from the photograph and handed it back to the man. "I lost my wife and child as well and I understand the cross you have to bear." he said to him. "And I envy you in this moment for having the courage to end the life of that which wronged you as I did not."
