Finding the lying, treacherous bitch was not very difficult. Between the weres loyal to the Court, the skilled hunters in the Queen's employ and Bai's army of ghostly spies, the Chinese medium had arrived on Viola's doorstep about half an hour before sunset. Being one of Elizabeth's inner circle, Bai possessed one of the coveted rings that allowed the Damned to walk in the daylight. She rarely used the precious artifact, as it was not her way to deny her nature. For what this creature had done, she'd make an exception though.
One of the weres offered to break down the door, but the tiny vampire shook her head. Stepping up to it, she turned the knob off the door and with barely a fraction of her inhumane strength took it off its hinges. She was very upset right now, and the door was only going to be the first victim of her well hidden wrath.
The next was nearly the hapless human in the bedroom of the house. Once again, the locks did little to deter the angry medium. Dispersing her spies through the house to ferret out all of the inhabitants, she pushed the door inwards with a loud crunch. The poor female in the bed understandably was panicked and screaming. The rest of the hunting party started towards the woman, but Bai raised her hand. "Bring her with us," she ordered. "Silence her, but do not harm her. Her fate is for the Queen to decide."
Just then, one of her ghosts told her their quarry was in the basement. That would be their next stop, then. Sending the rest not dealing with the frightened mortal, Bai followed behind with slow, deliberate steps.
