She glanced down when he covered her hand with his other, not exactly knowing the gesture, but not really dwelling on it all that much. She just figured that people from different areas had different customs.
"Oh, well then maybe the odds might be in my favor." she spoke with a bit of a smile when she moved toward the counter he had signaled toward. "Thank you." she then added when she was offered the pen, taking it and one of the applications. She nodded when he told her about the application a little bit, though her mind was already figuring that the fact she'd never had a job might reflect poorly on her. Moving over to take one of the seats she started filling out the piece of paper, putting in all the information that she could come up with, like the fact she attended University, mainly for creative writing and history. The job portion was left blank, and the references she put down her brother Dante, and then as an afterthought put down Colin. She had to pull out her cellphone to get the number to put down along with it, since it was still new to her. She'd have to remember to phone Colin at some point to let him know, and hope he didn't mind.
When she was finished, she knew it was nothing glamorous, and that there were probably people more qualified than her. But then she was getting up, to go turn in the application to the man. "You were right, it didn't take too long to fill out." she found herself saying, mainly because she felt something needed to be said, she just didn't know what.
