Izumi bit her bottom lip as he spoke, listening to his rough and almost gravely voice. It was nearly exactly how she'd always imagined it would sound. She knew she was far too little to have remembered hearing it, but there was something so very familiar about the tone of his words.
He'd been looking for her? That amazed Izumi and made her heart ache a little. He'd actually been looking for her. That meant he had wanted to see her. The way he sighed and commented about this being the right time was something she hadn't really expected, but she nodded a little. "I suppose it'll never bee the right time." she murmured, her eyes still wandering over his features. "But I suppose you've found me now." she told him. "I could give you my number and you can call me when you'd like to talk..."
She wanted to tell him about Noah and about her life, like daughters told their fathers, but she just couldn't bring herself to do all of that just yet.
