The sun was out, and it was not raining. These were things that made her happy. Flowers were still blooming, including ones that should not have been thanks to the abilities of herself and her parents, and she was going to get to see Evan. These were things that made her even happier. Every time her phone beeped with a text message or a call from him, she could not keep the grin off her face. On more than one occasion, her parents had asked her what was going on, and Persephone had simply explained that she was talking to a friend. She had told them that her friend was coming to visit the nursery, which why was she was not accompanying them to the various farmer's markets and out in the middle of nowhere places they typically found to go on the weekends. They had left a little while ago.
Persephone was sitting in the front yard, head thrown back, enjoying the feel of the grass and the sun on her face. There was a slight wind blowing, and she could pick out each blossom by scent. The Simonetts had been luck to find the property. It was slightly outside of the city and provided ample land for everything they grew. There was a decidedly country feel to it even though it was still within the limits. It would never be Lyon, but it was home. Persephone had come to love it.
Every sound made her look up to see if he had arrived. She was beginning to wonder if her directions had been bad, and then she would remember that it was still early. It was not like her to be approaching impatient. Smiling to herself, she stretched out in the grass, holding her arms out above her and looking toward the sun through her fingers.
