"I'll be sure to do my best to complete the masterpiece," she grinned. "I might need that luck though, so thanks." Mateo was a work in progress like everyone else in the world. Chloe knew well and good she needed a lot of work herself before she'd ever be deserving of Mateo and everything that he meant to her.
"I think we'll need luck trying to make sure that happens too," she admitted. "But we can do it. It might take a little while, but we'll get it done." He was stubborn, Mateo, but that was just something the both of them would have to try and deal with.
"His face would be priceless," she agreed. Then she thought about it a little more and worry caught up to her. It probably wouldn't really happen because she knew that Mateo would be angry, but it was fun to tease and play about it like it really was. She didn't want to do anything to jeopardize her relationship with Mateo and she knew well and good Darcy wouldn't either.
"Are you positive he won't be mad?" she asked, biting her lower lip. "I mean I don't want him to freak out so much that he doesn't forgive us. He's said that girls he's dated before didn't like you and that was what eventually broke them up. I just... I don't want to give him a reason to break up with me. Maybe we can just pretend to argue without the hair pulling. Or just freak him out by getting along and ganging up on him about something." She smiled a little and shrugged. "I think I worry too much, but he's got a temper too. Like your boyfriend."
