"I guess I should be glad it makes him mad that people talk about me," Chloe said. "I just hate that he gets worked up over the bullshit. They'll find someone else to talk about eventually and I'll be old news. Soon as someone gets pregnant around here we won't even be blips on the radar." She sure as fuck wasn't going to be getting pregnant, thanks.
"His eyes will probably fall out of his head," Chloe smirked. "Which could prove pretty funny so I won't tell him," she grinned. She had to tease him a little. It would be fun.
"He didn't tell me much," she admitted. "Just that he's like twenty-six or something and that he used to babysit you guys and that you've been in love with him forever. And that he doesn't like it because it's 'weird' and 'wrong'. I don't know. I mean I know it's coming from a good place, but I told him that maybe he doesn't really know this guy as well as he thinks he does. You've been his best friend forever, right? I think he should give you more credit for your choices than he is. But maybe that's just me. I dunno. I know he doesn't want to see you get hurt." Mateo's opinions weren't really right or wrong, but the fact was it wasn't his choice regardless. "I mean I wouldn't want him to break up with me just because you don't like me," she explained. "So why should you break up with Tony just because he doesn't like him? Pot calling the kettle black if you ask me."
