Darcy would give Chloe points on being straight forward. It actually took her aback for a moment and almost made her forgive the other girl for the terrible print on her messenger bag. Darcy was all in black, grey and navy again because it was simple and comfortable. Plus it was easy to grab on the go when she made the commute from Tony's to home to school.
"That's good. I'm not actively mad at you, either. Presently anyway. That might change before this conversation has ended. I am still mad at Teo, though, for reasons I imagine he might have at least touched on. He told me a little bit about the situation that's going on with your dad and this case and everything. I'm sorry if that's put any sort of undue strain on you. It doesn't sound pleasant." She could be all kinds of cordial when she wanted to, and the other girl hadn't actually done or said anything yet to make her a target. All she was doing was dating Teo, which was only a punishable offense if she turned out to be deranged or moronic in some fashion.
