Elias wasn't buying the bullshitting she was doing either. He could still feel her breathing and it was still just as quickened with no signs of slowing down and he'd be damned if he loosened his grip even the slightest bit. He shifted slightly, making sure his grip was tight on her, but leaving himself open to more than he realized in the heat of the moment. He was worried about Max, his attention more on his brother than himself. His eyes were on his twin more than on the woman he was holding onto. His grip didn't change, but his focus did and it was that lack of concentration that would likely be his undoing. "Let's just get it done and over with," he told his brother. He sure as hell wasn't enjoying this anymore than Max was or even Artemis for that matter.
