He hated this, hated having to tell a woman that her life was never going to be the same as it used to be. "I'm just going to be straight with you because that's the best way to do things. I'm not going to lie to you or sugarcoat anything because if I was in your position, I'd expect the same courtesy." He could at least admit that much. "So I'll start off by saying that there isn't any cure. I already knew that to start with, but I wanted to check all my resources just to be absolutely positive that there wasn't something we could try. There isn't. The curse was in effect the second you were mauled and lived to tell about it. It might not seem like it, but you're pretty lucky to even be alive after a were attack." He didn't envy her new found cursed status, but she was breathing and that was more than could be said for a lot of people who were attacked by weres.
"So with that said, I want to still try and help you, if you'll let me," he told her. "Let us help you get through the first moon and then we'll figure out what to do after that. It'll buy you another month to decide what's the route you want to take." He couldn't let her kill herself without at least trying to get it through to her that it wasn't a death sentence, just a change in her normal way of life.
