Elias had been standing back up until that point. He hadn't wanted Jayne up there either and he found himself breathing a sigh of relief when Max convinced her to head downstairs. He didn't want to put the girl into any danger either if it could be helped and the further she was from ground zero, the better.
He wasn't surprised by Artemis packing plenty of weapons beneath the jacket she didn't take off. He had a gun on himself too, tucked inside of his own jacket. He couldn't blame her for being wary and he'd have been the same had he been in her position. "Max is my twin, obviously." he said. They might be fraternal, but they still were quite similar when it came to their features. He didn't take any step towards her, simply folded his arms across his chest and drew in a breath. "I guess we should get down to it," he told her. "I've done all the research I could on the topic and I wanna go over your options, Artemis. No bullshit, no drama and certainly no weapon drawing, clear?"
