Abbie jumped down from the table, running halfway across the loft space before turning, arms up above her head. Why yes, desserts that could be tossed were a regular occurence in the Cooper household. Mostly because Gabe had a bad habit of buying Twinkies or snack cakes rather than real food. Remembering her manners, she ran back to the table long enough to sling her arms around Naya's neck and kiss her cheek. "Thank you for dinner, Naya!" She sing-songed, then ran back towards her room, cupcake in hand.
Gabe shook his head, picking up his beer and taking a generous gulp of it. His hand was still on Naya's back, stroking gently up and down. Once Nadia and Abbie had headed into his daughter's bedroom, he turned to Naya.
"Not overstepping, baby girl," he murmured, leaning in to kiss her softly. "I would've asked you to stay already, but I didn't want you thinkin' I was pressuring you."
