Nadia had a point. She was trying to act all grown up and practical and pretend that she was thinking things through and not jumping into something, but was it really jumping in when they'd been dancing around one another so long? She glanced down at her plate as Gabe responded in his own way and she wasn't sure whether to be happy or annoyed by his lack of real cut and dried decision making.
We'll see.
She bit her bottom lip and looked from the girls to Gabe and shook her head. "No," she said, drawing in a shaky little breath. "We don't have to wait and see what happens. If you want me here, I'll stay. If Abbie doesn't mind me being here, I'll stay. I want to be here."
Perhaps it wasn't the best conversation to be having over dinner, but she wanted to be honest. She was in love with that grouchy bear beside her and she'd be damned if she let her own ridiculous tiptoeing ruin that.
