This was the first homecooked meal Nadia had ever had in her life. And damn it was good. She snitched another piece of garlic bread. "He makes good sandwiches though," she defended. "Huge ones too big to fit in your mouth to take a bite." Okay, that sounded kind of dirty even if she didn't mean it that way. Nadia wasn't taking it back.
She rolled her eyes at Naya's response. "They just figured out what the rest of us have known for months, Abbie Bear," she observed. "So they have to pretend like they're thinking this through and being practical and grown up about it. Give them a couple of days, then ask. You'll probably get a yes by then." She grinned and took a bite of her garlic bread.
