Naya breathed out a sigh of relief when the girl hugged her. Oh thank heaven. At least she said she could stay and told her to stop being nervous. "I'll try," she murmured with a little smile.
She was thankful for the comfort of Gabe's arm around her shoulder and the warm press of his lips to her cheek. She shook her head a little once he'd released her and let out a slow breath, finally calming herself some and collecting a couple of oven mits to bring the lasagna container from the oven to the table. The garlic bread and a nice salad were set in the middle with the main course and she smiled a little, pleased with herself at the meal she'd made.
"Okay, what does everyone want to drink?" she asked, collecting a few glasses from the cupboard as she spoke.
