Naya was about ready to pull her hair out and scream or run away to cry somewhere. She'd been working on dinner, making sure to make Abbie's favorite meal of lasagna and garlic bread, along with a made from scratch red velvet cupcakes for dessert. She wanted to impress the little girl to say the least and had already set the table and gotten the cupcakes decorated and cooling for after the meal as she tried her best to calm down even a tiny little bit.
Nadia had gone out long enough to get her very large make-up bag and was somewhere in Abbie's room, she thought. So alone to her own worries, she started talking to herself a bit out of habit. Usually she was surrounded by dead bodies to talk to so that seemed lightly less crazy than talking to cupcakes as she made sure the lasagna was cooling enough to not scald anyone when they ate.
"If she hates you, you've lost him," she told herself. "She's going to think that you want to be her mother and then she's going to get upset and dinner isn't going to be good enough and he's going to toss you out on your ass and you'll be all alone all over again," she muttered, lifting a hand to facepalm a little with a long and drawn out sigh. "Oh shit, they're here. That's his truck, they're here. Oh god, I think I'm going to faint."
Breathing out a long and low breath, she turned around in time to see Nadia. "Please tell me I'm being an idiot," she pleaded.
