Forever? Who: Dimitri and Chloe What: After game hanging out When: Friday night Where: A patch of woods behind Dimitri's home Warnings: Some kissing
Chloe was satisfied with a winning game of football. She might not have known much - okay, nothing - about the game, but she knew that her boyfriend was on the team and played amazingly. Well, okay, so she wasn't sure if he played amazingly, but they'd won and he'd looked hot while playing so that was what mattered really. Who cared how the game worked so long as the ball went through the large fork looking thing. Whatever.
After the bus returned the cheerleaders, Chloe took the time to take a quick shower and wash away the sweating and yuck that cheering had left her with. She put on a fairly simple outfit of jeans, a tank and a sweater paired with some boots and headed out to meet Dimitri by his truck. She smiled as she reached him, coming up from behind and catching him around the waist as he spoke to some of his friends. She didn't say anything, not wanting to disturb him too much if he was busy doing boy things or whatever. Not touching him, however, wasn't an option.
Dimitri was talking the finer points of the game with the guys while Chloe was getting ready. The guys had showered and changed before having gotten on the bus back as they would of smelled the whole thing up permanently. He heard her coming up behind him and a huge grin came to his face as she hugged him from behind. His hands rested on hers and the guys waved them off. "Alright, see ya'll Monday." he said before turning in her arms. "Well hello there, gorgeous." he said before leaning down to kiss her.
"Hello, handsome," she replied, kissing him back and then smiling as their lips parted. "All yours til one," she breathed as she slipped her arms around his neck. "I love weekend curfew." Usually she didn't have to worry much about curfew, going out with the girls every once in awhile or spending some time at a movie didn't really push her very close to breaking it. Most of the time she was already asleep before the curfew rolled around. Now, however, she had a very tall, dark and handsome reason to spend every second she could out of the house.
How had he gotten so damn lucky? Dimitri held her close and there was no one else but her. The rest of the world didn't exist when he was close to her. "Well, seeing as it's so nice out, I was thinking we could grab some food from the diner then go back to my place...There's a wooded area and I could drive my truck to the clearing and we could eat in the bed of the truck under the stars."
Most men who wanted to do sweet things were either taken or gay. Dimitri, however, was simply hers. And adorable. "I like this plan," she told him, gently running her fingers through the bit of hair at the nape of his neck. "Good game, by the way," she added, leaning up to seal another little kiss from him.
Dimitri kissed her back, lifting her up a bit off the ground and turning that little kiss into a deeper one. He ignored the whistles and catcalls as everyone was heading out, beeping their horns. He finally set her down, laughing softly. "I could barely concentrate with you jumping around and smelling so damn wonderful even from across the field."
She smirked a little at his words, and at the catcalls. Dimitri Masterson was her boyfriend. The hottest guy in school wanted her. "Like I could concentrate with you running around ramming into people. And your butt looks awesome in those uniform pants," she added. His ass looked good in any pair of pants he had on actually. "Come on, handsome, let's get out of here."
He chuckled and lifted her up like she was a fairytale princess, kissing her again before putting her in his truck. "I won the game for you, Freckles." he said with a grin. He closed her door before hopping in his truck and heading out to the diner. "You look beautiful, by the way."
And there he went with those compliments, making her feel like she was the most beautiful woman on the face of the planet. Shifting to sit in the middle of the cab, she leaned in against his shoulder and let out a soft sigh. "Thank you," she murmured. "You don't look so bad yourself."
Dimitri put his arm around her as he drove with a smile. "Why thank you, darlin." he said, giving her a kiss on the top of her head. "Mama has been begging me to bring you by for dinner some night...Maybe you could come by sometime next week?" he asked her. He wanted her to himself for a little while before bringing her home cause once that happened his mothers would certainly steal her time.
"Maybe Monday or Tuesday?" she offered. "I don't work on those days. Wednesday through Friday I don't get off work until seven so unless they want a late dinner it's kind of a pain and I wouldn't want to hold them up." Chloe was honestly nervous about meeting his mothers. She was worried they wouldn't like her. It was probably pretty clear in her voice that her nerves were acting up a little at just the thought of coming home with him for dinner. "Just lemme know what day."
"I'm talk to Mom and see what her work schedule looks like. She's been pulling a lot of hours since all the anti-supernatural stuff started surfacing again." he said. His one mother was a lawyer who worked for the SAO. Usually when these sorts of things started happening again in more frequency the right-wingnuts started trying their usual crap in congress.
They made it to the diner, ordering their food before another trip in the truck. He pointed out his house to her which was an old Victorian home. It was huge, much too big for their small family, but his Mama always said she wanted room for all her grandbabies. Dimitri got the hint certainly. He drove Chloe to his favorite place to hang out on the full moon, a small wooded area with a clearing. He pulled into the clearing, grinning. "Wait till you see the stars." he said, leaning in to give her a kiss before getting out and going to the other side to let her out of the truck.
Chloe's nerves had calmed a bit by the time they reached the clearing. Well, sort of. He obviously had a lot of money, which she knew, but seeing his house all gigantic was a little daunting. Again she started wondering exactly why this guy who could have any girl in the world would be with her. But then he kissed her and talked about the stars and it was hard to keep thinking negatively. She wanted to take advantage of all the moments she got to spend with the cutie.
She climbed out of the truck with a bit of his help and glanced up at the stars. They were beautiful, she had to admit. And the little wooded area that surrounded them made her feel pretty at home. "It's beautiful out here," she murmured as she glanced around. "I bet you come out here a lot, huh?"
Dimitri opened the tailgate of his truck, hopping up and getting the blanket set up for them. He laid out the food, his eyes flicking to her every few seconds. She looked so beautiful in the moonlight. "I come out here all the time. Especially on the full moon." he said with a grin. "But you know the most beautiful thing I have ever seen out here....is you." Dimitri held his hand out to her. "Dinner is served."
It was cheesy, his little line, but it was also adorable. She couldn't help but grin at the boy as she moved to take his hand and get settled on the tailgate with their food. "There you go, spoiling me with compliments again," she teased.
He sat down beside her with a smile. "How can I spoil you with the truth?" he asked, giving her a kiss on the cheek before digging into his food. Hey, he was a growing boy. "I meant to ask you....How in the hell do you bend the way you do when you do all those cheerleady bending things?"
She rolled her eyes at his words. She knew that he might be cheesy, but she also knew that everything he said was said in truth. It still made her flush a little to be thought of like she was something to be put on a pedestal. Picking up a french fry, she shrugged a little at his question. "Gymnastics for a while," she started. "Did a lot of classes when I was little and that helped with the flexibility. That, a lot of practice and yoga," she explained. "Guess I'm just flexible."
"Yoga...." Ok, he needed to not be thinking of the kind of stretching that went into yoga and all the ways that would be beneficial for...."So, wow, forgot how good the food was from the diner." he said in a slightly strangled voice.
Chloe bit her lower lip and tried to focus on the french fries and not eating them like she was in some pervy porno. "Mhm," she agreed. "It's really good, glad we went there," she told him. "So um, Sunday my dad is taking me out to get a car." Now that she really didn't need the damn thing since he was carting her around everywhere pretty much, the wonderful boyfriend that he was.
Even the way she ate french fries was sexy. Dimitri ran his hand through his hair as he took a sip of his milkshake. "Really? Damn, now I don't have an excuse to drive you everywhere." he said with a pout. "Maybe I'll accidentally on purpose break my truck and you'll have to drive me around."
That had Chloe grinning again. "I dunno, what if I get a girly car that you wouldn't want to be caught dead in?" she asked him. She was kind of curious about what his response would be. She was a girl, after all, and one who prided herself on liking feminine things, no doubt her car would be some form of girly.
Dimitri chuckled and leaned over, kissing her cheek. "It could be a bright pink Prius and I would still proudly ride in the passenger seat so long as you were driving." he said and finished off his food. Ok, so he ate fast cause the sooner he was done eating the soon he could kiss his girlfriend properly.
She smiled again, glad that even a bright pink car wouldn't turn him off of her. "Maybe we'll just switch out days," she thought aloud. "Or weeks. You drive one week, I'll drive the next." It'd save gas on both their parts as far as she was concerned and she'd feel less like she was using him.
"However you'd want to do it, Freckles." he said, putting his arm around her and nuzzling her a bit. Dimitri would do anything she wanted he was that much in love with her.
Finishing up her own food a bit more slowly than growing boy over there, she cleaned up some of the trash and tucked it into the empty bag. Setting that aside and out of their way, she laid back against the blanket on the bed of his truck and looked up at the stars. "It's really pretty out here," she murmured, eyes flicking from the sky above her to her boyfriend. "Thanks for bringing me."
Dimitri lay down beside her, looking at her. The stars had always been and would always be there. Chloe was the stars, sun, and moon in his life now. "I wouldn't want to share it with anyone else." he said softly.
There he went being cute again. She smiled and rolled over enough that she could rest her head against his chest. "Good," she murmured. "I think I'd be jealous if you did want to share it with someone else," she admitted.
He chuckled, his arms wrapping around her as he kissed the top of her head. "You have nothing to be jealous of. The only woman in the world I see is you." he murmured against her hair, one hand rubbing her back gently.
"I'll probably still get jealous," she told him honestly. "You are surrounded by a pack of rabid hyenas all day." Hyenas in the shape of teenage girls thirsty for a guy like Dimitri. He might not be interested in them, but that didn't mean there weren't a billion of them interested in him.
"Don't worry, my dear lioness. No hyenas are stealing away your kill." he said teasingly. "This tiger is all yours." There was something really nice, about being with another big cat. Like right now, as he nuzzled her like crazy, making sure his scent was all over her. "And I'll eat anyone who thinks they can take you away from me."
"No one's gonna get me," she assured him, nuzzling her face against his to get just as much of her scent on him as he was getting his on her. "You're stuck with me, kitten." And that was that. She'd certainly pounce on anyone who tried to get between the two of them. That and likely claw out their eyes while she was at it.
Dimitri let out a satisfied purr and he pulled her on top of him. In teenage speak, that was as good as an I love you. He kissed her, a hand burying in her beautiful hair, his other arm tight around her.
She kissed him back, letting her legs slide to either side of his hips and her own fingers brush through his hair. She was a bit envious because he really did have great hair and none of the obnoxious curls that ended up far too tangled for her liking. When she pulled back from the kiss, she nuzzled her nose against his and smiled at him. "So what are you doing for the full moon?" she questioned, already wondering if she could convince her father to let Dimitri stay over that night.
When she straddled him like that, it really did drive the boy insane. He didn't even object to her mussing up his hair. He kept his cool, not wanting a repeat of the night before. That had been intense in a way they almost didn't come back from and this time they didn't have the fact they were in her house to stop them. "You tell me." he said with a smile.
Continuing to let her fingers slowly run through his hair, she shrugged a little. "I was thinking that maybe I can try to get my dad to let you come stay over that night," she told him. "We usually stay in because four lions just running around in the woods isn't exactly a good idea, but I think curling up with you would be just as much fun as curling up with my sisters and daddy." More fun, actually, but she didn't say as much.
Her fingers in his hair had him purring up a storm. He couldn't help it. "I would love to, if you're dad'll let me." he said, his hands resting on her hips. "I'm sure my moms will let me stay the night there." When he had been a cub he had driven them a little insane on the full moon. Part of him missed that as he got lonely on the full moon often. He was a little big now to be knocking around inside, but he would happily do so to curl up with Chloe.
"I'll ask him. I mean it's not like we can do anything bad or whatever. We'll be huge and cats and that's just ew." She didn't want to think about doing any sort of naughty thing in any other form other than her human one. "But snuggles are nice."
Dimitri laughed and shook his head. "Yea, I think it's safe to say just snuggling will be going on then." he said, kissing her temple. "I hope he says yes."
"Me too," she murmured. Now how to broach the topic with her father? She'd figure something out. Perhaps if she started thinking of ways to plead her case now she'd be all set by the time the full moon rolled around.
"I wish I didn't have to bring you home tonight." he murmured softly, stroking her hair. "I'd love to fall asleep holding you..."
"Don't tempt me," she whispered. Not that she wasn't already plenty tempted to stay with him until forever. Damn that curfew. She really couldn't complain, however, because her curfew was pretty decent for a seventeen year old. "I wish I was older so I could do whatever I wanted sometimes," she sighed. "Then I could stay here with you."
Dimitri smiled, giving her a soft kiss. "But you will be older and we will be able to do whatever we want..." he said. "I know I'm going to enjoy all of it, from the time of curfews to the time of no curfews and everything in between."
She supposed being young wasn't so bad. It wasn't like they couldn't do plenty of things between now and her eighteenth birthday. Which reminded her that she hadn't asked him when his was. "When's your birthday?" she questioned, figuring it was best she get to know more about him. She'd fill up her mind with little tidbits of information about the boy, that was for certain.
He smiled and held her against him, stroking her hair. "February 13th. When's yours?" he asked, already knowing the first holiday she was getting some piece of jewelry from him. Anything to show she was his to the world.
She grinned broadly at him. "Mine's the thirteenth too, but in June." Random little cute coincidences. Already she was thinking about what she could get him for said birthday which was so close to Valentine's day. Maybe something really big. If she started saving now...
"I love June." he said with a grin. Maybe he could take her on a trip. "Do you like camping?" he asked, thinking that a romantic camping weekend would be ace. It would be just after graduation which would be perfect.
She nodded. "I do," she told him. There had been several family camping trips over the years and despite popular opinion, Chloe didn't mind being out in the wilderness without the comforts of home. And besides, the thought of camping with Dimitri was pretty awesome.
A wide grin spread on his face and he nuzzled her, murmuring into her ear. "You, me, the middle of nowhere, and nothing to stop me from showing you just how much you drive me wild. How's that for an 18th birthday?"
Chloe smiled, despite the little shiver that rolled through her body. "I'd say that sounds like a pretty good plan," she told him. "Guess that means you plan on sticking around til my eighteenth birthday?" she questioned, smiling a little wider at the thought.
Dimitri kissed along her cheek before letting his lips hover over hers. "I'll stick around for the rest of my life if you let me." he whispered before kissing her deeply to prove just how much he wanted to be with her.
Forever was a long time, especially in the eyes of the teenage girl, but it was also attainable. Her parents had been high school sweethearts after all. Sure, her mother had passed away from an illness, but they'd had three children and a marriage that Chloe would call successful. Had her mother not died, she was certain they'd still be together. So teenage relationships were something that Chloe put some weight and belief into. She kissed Dimitri back, reluctantly pulling back to breathe after a few moments. "Forever's a long time," she murmured. "Really think you wanna spend that long with me?"
His own mothers had been friends since high school so Dimitri too didn't discount the love of two teenagers as something that could last. He looked up at her when her lips pulled from his, breathless. Gently he stroked her cheek. "Chloe...I've been wanting to spend forever with you since the moment I saw you in that girl's bathroom....hell, probably before. Since the moment I caught your wonderful scent."
She still found it a little hard to believe, having never felt anything quite as strong as this spark between the two of them. Was this really what forever felt like? What it was like to love someone? She smiled a tiny smile at his words and stroked her fingers through his hair again, eyes searching his for truth behind his statements. "I wanna spend forever with you too," she murmured.
There was no lie in his eyes, only love for her. "That's good because...I love you." he said softly. Dimitri was not the kind of guy who was going to hold back his feelings, not when she was pouring her heart out to him. Maybe it was crazy, but he didn't care. He loved Chloe, plain and simple. There was no reason to hide it.
She was surprised to hear those words, no matter how much they'd been dancing around the one little statement. It was fast, in a way, but Chloe was pretty sure she loved Dimitri from the moment that she'd met him in the bathroom. From before that really, the first time she saw him walking in the halls or playing on the football field. It was almost like she'd dreamed him into existence, the perfect guy made especially for her. And now here he was telling her that he loved her. Her lips parted as she tried to think up some sort of lovely, wonderful thing to say to him, but she just couldn't come up with something perfect enough.
She leaned down and caught his lips in a soft kiss, hoping that everything she wanted to say could be conveyed in that simple action. She kissed him for a long moment and when she pulled back, it was only a tiny space that she left between their mouths. "I love you too," she breathed.
Dimitri's heart raced as he waited for her to answer. He was terrified she was going to run off or something. Usually it was guys who did that, but girls have been scared off by it too. Then she kissed him. There was some God in the universe that loved him because she whispered those words back and he had never in his life felt such joy as he had in that moment. He held her tightly, kissing her again, only pulling back when breathing was required. "Thank God." he panted out before kissing her all over her face.
She had no intentions of running anywhere unless it was closer to Dimitri. So maybe it was soon and maybe it was crazy, but she didn't care. She couldn't seem to be bothered by it because she was happy in that moment and happy felt pretty damn good. "I've never been in love before," she whispered against his mouth as she kissed him again. "But I've never felt like this before either."
Maybe it was an unmanly thing to do, but he had tears in his eyes as he just kept kissing her, over and over, so full of love for her he was sure he was going to explode. "I've never been in love till you." he said softly, his hand running through her hair as he fought to catch his breath. He was going to marry her someday. He knew it in his heart one day he would see Chloe walking toward him in a white dress and knew nothing in life would ever be as perfect as this. As her.
