Wherever you go, Whatever you do who: Chloe and Dimitri what: Date? when: Wednesday Afternoon where: Woodrow Wilson High then a Cafe warnings: Adorableness
Dimitri's heart was pounding. It was pathetic really. He was a tiger. He was the king of the jungle. Mighty hunter. And it was taking three of his teammates to shove him down the hall to a lioness that had long ago stolen his heart with just her scent. He was supposed to be suave with girls, or so his friends said. One fumbling night with a cheerleader his sophomore year did not a Casanova make and he had always been too shy around a pretty girl to even have a proper hand at dating.
But it was his senior year and even though he was nervous as all hell, he had to ask her. If he didn't, someone else would and he would be damned if anyone else would. It was one last shove that put him right next to her and while he thought he would freeze, all of a sudden he was talking, and he couldn't stop. "Hi Chloe....I want to ask you to homecoming because I think you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen but it's taken me this long to ask you cause I'm a shy idiot and you probably will say no cause you probably have a date by now but I had to try and maybe we could even go for coffee now and um....um...." And that was when he couldn't speak. Great. Now he had spouted out all the thoughts in his head and she probably thought he was crazy. "Well....I'll just go now and kill myself before you laugh at me...."
Chloe was startled when Dimitri suddenly appeared, thrust upon her by a bunch of football playing guys. She was about to reply to his greeting, but even as her lips parted, he was spurting out confessions of how beautiful he thought she was and how shy he was, an invitation to homecoming and coffee and then the threat of suicide. She just blinked at him. "I'm being Punk'd aren't I?" she questioned, looking around at the other kids in the hallway for a horribly dressed little bastard, Justin Bieber. This was obviously some sort of joke, it had to be. There was no way that Dimitri Masterson would give her the time of day, let alone ask her out to homecoming.
Dimitri blinked several times. "What?" he said, looking around too. He didn't know what being Punk'd meant in all honesty. He was a little out of touch sometimes. His mothers prefered British television if anything and he was a fan of things like the Discovery channel. MtV wasn't something that was ever really turned on in his house.
She just blinked at him some more. "You know, Punk'd. Justin Bieber pops out and says 'haha, fooled you' or whatever. A big joke so that you get a laugh and I get to cry and run off." She was positive that he was just joking with her. There was no way that this could be anything but a joke. Whoever put him up to this was going to be eating their own ass for dinner. She'd have been angry with him if he wasn't so damn good looking. Even though she thought he was joking, he was still ridiculously handsome.
Dimitri didn't like the idea of someone doing something like that. It was mean not to mention pointless. "What? No, of course not." he said, running his hand through his hair. "I wouldn't make you cry for something like that. I wouldn't make you cry ever." And he would eat the face off of anyone who did. Dimitri had watched her from a distance for a while, pining for her. Maybe that made him some kind of creeper, he just didn't think someone so beautiful would ever want him.
She was still somewhat disbelieving. If he wasn't joking then he'd meant all of what he'd said to her? She narrowed her eyes into tiny little slits and looked him over predatorily. He was nervous, she could smell that on him, but if he was nervous then he couldn't be lying, could he? Maybe nervous about lying? The intermingling smells in the hall didn't help her skills in deciphering so she stopped trying to figure it all out. "So you really want to go to homecoming with me?" she asked as she tucked a couple of her books that she wouldn't need into her locker and put the ones she did into her backpack.
Did she have to look at him like she was going to claw his eyes out? It should scare him, but all it did was make him hot and desire her even more. He was a twisted male, he was convinced. "Yes, I do." he said firmly. "And I wouldn't mind dating even more than that...In fact, I'd really like to take you out to dinner this weekend too." Dimitri was impressed with himself, actually. He was finally manning up, but even so his cheeks were red.
Chloe's lips parted in surprise. This was not happening. She glanced around again, one more time to look for the Beebs. "Really?" she asked in complete and utter disbelief. She knew she was popular and she wasn't oblivious to the fact that she was pretty either, but this was Dimitri Masterson, the hottest guy in school. And he was asking her out. She forced herself to close her mouth and tucked her hair behind her ear with one hand, then zipped up her bag and shifted it on her shoulder. Biting her lower lip, she let herself look up at him and flushed a little herself. "That'd be nice."
It was like some kind of hellish Jeopardy, waiting for her answer. If she said no, he wouldn't go to the dance, or prom, or anything because she was the only girl he had ever really wanted to go out with. But then she said yes. She said it'd be nice. Which was the same as yes. A huge smile came to his face and he couldn't help hugging her tight, lifting her up and spinning her around. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" he said, setting her down and blushing. "And sorry just....thank you. I promise it'll be perfect and we can do anything you want this weekend and thank you." He couldn't stop smiling. She said yes.
She had no idea what the hell had just happened. That grin had momentarily paralyzed her (damn those gorgeous teeth) and then he went and hugged her, spinning her around like those romantic comedies she'd watched far too many times. By the time he sat her down and continued to thank her, she was bright red and thinking she'd fell at cheerleading practice or something. There was no way this was reality. "Um... you're welcome?" she said, still reeling with surprise over his enthusiasm. She glanced around once more, closing her locker as she did so. No one was laughing, or really paying much attention other than the few little whispers and cat calls here and there. "So um, you want to go get some coffee?" she asked. She had work, but she had time beforehand.
"Coffee? Yes, coffee. We can get coffee, absolutely." he said, still grinning like an idiot. He'd eventually calm down and apologize for being such a moron, but he was just too deliriously happy to hide his exuberance at the moment. "May I carry your bag for you?" he offered, remembering he needed to be a gentleman or his mothers would whack him upside the head when he told them about this.
It was hard not to smile when he was being so adorably ridiculous. Sliding her bag off of her shoulder, she offered it out to him. "Sure, thanks." she said as they made their way towards the exit. She was pretty quiet on the way out of the building, eyes flicking to him every now and again. Usually she got a ride with friends, but she shooed them away when the eyed her in the hall on the way out. "So um, do you have a car?" she asked, never really having paid much attention to more than that gorgeous smile or that voice or those biceps.
Dimitri took her backpack and walked with her out of the school. "Yes. Well, a truck." he said and led her over to his brand new 2012 Dodge Ram in a deep blue. Ok, the boy loved his truck. It had been a gift for his senior year from his moms. He unlocked the door, opening it for her and offering his hand to help her up into it. It was a big truck.
Chloe was impressed. Her eyes moved over the very large truck and when he offered to help her, she gladly accepted his hand and climbed into the truck. Once settled inside the vehicle with the door closed behind her, she drew in a breath and committed it to memory. Yeah she definitely liked that smell. His smell. She smiled at him when he climbed into the vehicle, combing her fingers through her hair and pulling it over her shoulder, exposing her neck to him a little. "I'm sorry for thinking you were joking with me." she told him. "I just never thought you really noticed me."
He placed her bag behind the seat before starting the truck and pulling out. He glanced at her when she thought he didn't notice her and his eyes went a little wide. "I've noticed you everyday my idiot self followed your scent right into the girl's bathroom." he said with a crooked grin as he drove toward his favorite place for coffee. "....That sounds creepy doesn't it?"
She flushed at his words, her cheeks hot as she remembered that little meeting. It was the first time that she'd seen the boy, when she first started going to the school. He'd rushed out claiming 'wrong bathroom'. "That was why you were in there?" she asked him "My scent?"
He blushed and bit his lip. It had been the first week of school this year and he was running late for class when he had caught a scent. The most alluring scent he had ever scented. His tiger had all but taken over and he followed it. He followed it right into the girl's bathroom and saw Chloe for the first time. He had stared at her, likely had fallen in love with her at that exact moment then realized where he was and ran away like a frightened girl. "Yes..." he admitted.
It was her turn to bite her lip as she peeked over at Dimitri. "So you really didn't say anything just because you were shy?" she asked. It was really sort of adorable and she felt pretty awesome about the whole situation at that point. The cutest guy in the whole school had a crush on her. "I guess I can't really blame you." she admitted. "I didn't have the guts to ask you out either." Which wasn't really like her. Usually she didn't care too much about worrying about guys saying yes. They always said yes. For five seconds, until the met her father.
God, her father. "Um... you might have to meet my dad before homecoming." she commented. "And he might try to scare you to death." she added. She really hoped he didn't pull over and plop her on the side of the road after that, not wanting to deal with an overprotective daddy.
He blushed and nodded. "Yes...really shy. It took just about the whole team to finally convince me to ask you out." It made sense, the quarterback dating the head cheerleader. Now that she had said yes, nothing scared him. Not her dad certainly. He gave her another one of those smiles. "Of course. That's why I suggested dinner this weekend. I can do it all right, pick you up, meet your dad and all that." he said as he pulled into this little bakery he liked.
She blinked at him in complete disbelief. She was tempted to pinch herself because there was no way that he agreed to that so easily. She had to be completely insane and just hearing things. "Really?" she questioned. She thought she might be saying that a whole lot more if she kept spending time with Dimitri. "You're not just gonna turn tail and run?" she asked. "I mean I know you're a tiger, I can smell you and I've been to the zoo, but he's a lion. You're not scared?"
He laughed and shook his head. "No ma'am. The scary part is over. You said yes to me. Everything else is cake in comparison." Dimitri had always been the laid back kind of guy. He would face off with a lion with a smile on his face cause the lioness had already said yes to him. "It's not like we're gonna shift and try to eat one another."
"You don't know my daddy." she said with a little smile. Still she was quite pleased with his response as she undid her seat belt so they could get out of the truck. "He's also a detective." she added. Might as well get that out of the way too. "Still not scared?"
"Not one bit." he said with that grin on his face. He quickly got out of the truck and rushed to the other side so he could open the door for her and help her down. "You're not used to guys not wetting themselves about your dad, are you?"
"Yeah, I kinda am actually." she told him as she climbed down from the truck with his assistance. "Most of them hear that he's a detective and that's enough." she admitted. "Having someone readily agree to meeting him and being okay with it is... surprising." To say the least. She was quite obviously impressed.
"LIke I said....You said yes." He sounded as if she had said yes to marrying him. Dimitri couldn't help himself. The boy had been head over heels for her from first scent. He opened the door for her and led her into the little cafe that was bustling. "My moms will be happy though...They've been kinda pushing me to ask you too." he said as they got in line.
Chloe was well aware that he had two mothers. High schoolers talked and the first thing that went around was always the one that people perceived to be the most negative. Chloe didn't think there was anything wrong with it, however. She was a firm believer that you loved who you loved for a reason. She was really too surprised that he'd talked to his mothers about her to really speak much on the fact that he had two mothers in the first place. "You've talked to them about me?" she questioned, smiling again at him.
Dimitri was long used to people's opinion on his parents. He had never cared. His moms loved him more than anything in the world and he loved them just as much. They taught him how to be a man as a woman would want him to be and he thought that was more valuable than any father he could have.
Dimitri smiled when she smiled cause her smile was just the prettiest thing he had ever seen. "Yes...They asked me a couple weeks ago about homecoming and if there was a girl I wanted to ask and well...After I told them about you they started picking suits and limos." he said with a laugh. They were thrilled he had finally taken an interest in a girl and knowing their son, they knew Dimitri was very much into Chloe. "They probably already love you." he said with a laugh.
She flushed a little and tucked her hair behind her ear again. "Limos?" she said. She'd never been in one and the thought of being in one gave her goosebumps, especially considering who her date was going to be. Hottest guy in school and a limo? The other cheerleaders were just going to die when they found out. "Will I get to meet them sometime too?" she questioned.
Dimitri nodded. "Absolutely. I won't be surprised if they follow me to your house night of homecoming to take pictures and meet your dad and all that." His moms may be human, but they were fierce when it came to their baby cub. They'd face down any lion if it meant making their boy happy. "They're humans, but my one mother is a lawyer for the SAO so they're versed in all things supernatural."
The thought of taking pictures with him, all dressed up even with her dad there made her cheeks flush a little. Hell, the thought of him in a suit had her hot beneath the collar but she was thankful it was a pretty crowded bakery and he likely wouldn't notice. "They sound nice." she said, and they did. Humans who were willing to adopt a little baby weretiger from Russia were angels as far as she was concerned.
"They're amazing." he said with a wide smile. It was obvious how much he loved his mothers. They finally made it to the counter and he looked to her with a smile. "What would you like? They have great pastries if you want a little snack too." he said as he pulled out his wallet. With him, Chloe would never pay for a thing.
She was a little hungry and knew that she'd have to work so dinner would be a little ways off so she figured she might as well take him up on the offer. She told him that she'd like a croissant, figuring it was decent enough for a snack before work and an iced coffee to keep her energy up. The fact that he paid made her smile. Her daddy would definitely like that part. "Thank you." she said to him once the person behind the counter started retrieving their order. "For taking me out."
Dimitri himself got an iced sweet tea and a bearclaw, paying and putting his hand ever so gently on her hip and moved with her off to the side so they could wait for their order. "Thank you for coming out with me." he said with a smile, looking at her adoringly.
She was melting at that touch, even more so when he looked at her that way with those big blue eyes. It was over with. Even she could tell that much. She was addicted with the first taste of something more than just friends. "So you want to take me to homecoming and dinner," she began, biting her lip a little as she looked down at the floor for a brief moment, blush rising on her cheeks. "Does that mean we're like... a couple?"
That blush she had made her freckles pop and god, Dimitri wanted to kiss her. He controlled himself and smiled at her. "We are whatever you want us to be." he said. "I want to take you to dinner, and homecoming and any other date or occasion you'll let me." he said, slipping a hand into hers.
Chloe smiled at him when he took her hand. Lacing her fingers through his she grinned even more broadly and gave his hand a little squeeze. "I think you can take me out whenever you want." she told the boy. How the hell was she standing here with the star quarterback with him holding her hand and being all adorable? Whatever the reason, she was damn happy.
"So then we're a couple then." he said and thought he would pass out with sheer happiness. In fact, he had to hug her again so he did, inhaling her scent deeply and marking her a bit with his own, rubbing his cheek against her hair.
The grin only got bigger and it was damn hard to think when he hugged her. He was warm and firm and all she wanted was to curl up against him. She noticed him marking her a bit with his scent and she nuzzled his cheek a little to do the same. Mine. She didn't want to let go of him and simply squeezed him a little tighter before reluctantly forcing herself to pull back to look at him. "Do you have to be so cute?" she asked, unable to keep the words from slipping out of her mouth. She flushed and covered both of her hands with her mouth and squinted her eyes shut as if that would make her disappear. God she was acting like a fool.
Dimitri loved being a tiger and loved that he was with another big cat. Chloe wouldn't think he was being weird when he marked her with his scent, smelled her, purred, or any number of other quirky cat qualities he had. He let her pull back, but not so far that she was out of his arms. Not yet. Her question brought a huge grin to his face. "I could ask you the same thing, Freckles." he said and leaned down to rub his nose against hers. He was acting even worse and how she thought she was being silly just made him want her even more. He had been a fool not to talk to her sooner.
She slowly pulled her hands away from her mouth, only because his nose was brushing against hers and he called her that cute little nickname and smiled that smile. She leaned a bit, bound and determined to kiss that pretty mouth of his, but then the person behind the counter said their order was up and she jerked back with a silent Damn it! that was written all over her face. She forced a smile and thanked the cashier and looked to Dimitri. "Do you want to sit inside?" she questioned.
Dimitri looked around as he picked up his own order and the place was pretty packed. "I have an idea, come on." he said with a grin and led her outside to his truck. He opened the bed of of the pickup, setting down his food before going into the truck itself. He got out a cushy blanket and laid it out in the bed of his truck before hopping up and holding his hand out to her with a smile.
Chloe followed him out and watched him take the blanket out of the cab. She arched a brow at him. "Why do you have a blanket in your truck?" she questioned, though she sat her drink aside and took his hand to climb up on the tailgate. "Wishful thinking?" she teased.
He laughed as he pulled her up. "My mothers have my truck packed in case the zombie apocalypse happens or something." he said with a laugh. "But hey, its helpful at the moment." He let her get settled with her coffee and croissant, sitting beside her with his own snack. "This isn't too rednecky or anything, right?"
She smiled at his explanation. "Well I hope I'm with you if the zombie apocalypse comes to pass." she murmured, taking a bite of her croissant. When he asked her if it was too rednecky, she shook her head. "No, not at all." she assured him. "I like it. It's nice."
Dimitri relaxed then, sipping his sweet tea, looking at her like she was the most wonderful thing in the world. To him, she was. "So, Chloe. I have absolutely no idea what to talk about." he said and shook his head with a crooked grin.
"I must be pretty boring." she teased, flashing him a smile. "Maybe you should rethink being my boyfriend." she went on, her smile broadening a little as she joked with him. "You can talk about anything. What are you thinking?"
"That is something I would never rethink." he said reaching out and brushing her beautiful long hair over her shoulder. "And you're not boring you're....beautiful and a great cheerleader. You smell like Heaven." he said then blushed. Well, she said to say what he was thinking.
Everything he said just made her feel all warm and tingly beneath her skin. She practically purred as he brushed her hair away from her shoulder and complimented her. "You're beautiful too." she breathed. "I-I mean handsome." she amended. "And when you grab the ball and run with it whatever that's called and make the point or goal or..." God she felt like such a dumb blonde. She cheered, but she didn't know jack about sports and really didn't care to so long as she could watch him play, that was more important than knowing what sort of terminology to use. "And you smell good too." she added, stuffing a piece of croissant into her mouth to shut herself up.
Dimitri laughed. She had no idea about football even though she cheered for it. He thought it was the cutest thing ever. "Freckles, you are just....adorable." he said and leaned over to kiss her cheek, lingering a bit to smell her skin.
She flushed so deeply that he likely could feel the heat coming off of her skin. The fact that he lingered there against her cheek didn't help her resolve to keep her hormones and emotions at bay and when he lingered just a fraction of a second too long, she shivered slightly. Pulling back just a bit, she turned her head and caught his lips in a soft kiss.
One thing Dimitri wasn't expecting was for her to kiss him first. The moment their lips touched though, he wasn't worried about who kissed who, he just caught up in the feel and taste of her lips. His hand slid up her neck and into her hair as he kissed her back. Currently her comment about wishful thinking was true because damn.
Chloe liked the feel of his hand in her hair and his lips against hers and she leaned into his touch as best she could while still kissing him. She didn't want to stop, but the catcall that sounded from somewhere nearby had her reluctantly pulling her lips away from his just a bit. She was making a spectacle of herself in the middle of a parking lot like a goofball. It was his fault though, he'd been kissing her cheek! How could she resist? "You taste good too." she whispered, her breath warm against his mouth.
Dimitri had kissed girls before, but it was nothing like this. When the idiot made a catcall at them he actually growled because she pulled away. Dammit. Dimitri hated people like that. And now he really hated them cause it made her stop kissing him. "You taste perfect." he breathed against her mouth, his eyes locking on hers. "Are we going to fast?" he asked, not wanting to overstep. But she had kissed him....
The little growl was in one word; hot. She was damn thankful that she was wearing a pair of skinny jeans and could clench her thighs together and not a skirt or something that would have been more likely to air all of her arousal to the universe. "No." she assured him, shaking her head a little. "I've liked you for like, ever." she explained. "And it's just kissing and I kissed you first so..." Maybe it was too fast, but she certainly wasn't going to take it back. "So, hey, what are you doing tonight?"
He couldn't believe she had liked him. He was such a moron for not asking her out sooner. "Tonight? Hopefully kissing you as much as possible." he said with a dopey grin. "Barring that, fantasizing about kissing you."
She bit her lower lip a little through a broad grin and cupped his face in her hand. "Think you could take a break from fantasizing about me and come over tonight to meet my daddy?" she questioned. "And my sisters." she added. "I work until seven but, if that's not too late, you could come by once I get home."
Dimitri looked like he was thinking about it really hard. "Well, I was really set on fantasizing, but I guess I can pick you up from work, kiss you as much as possible first, then take you home and meet your family." he said with a wide grin.
She liked the sound of that. "You're sure that you don't mind?" she asked him. She didn't want to push him into meeting the rest of the family too fast, but if he met them now and survived then she'd be able to actually go out and do things with him that weekend.
"I don't mind one bit." he said and leaned in to kiss her again, to show her just how much he didn't mind. It was funny. He always was awkward with girls but for some reason with Chloe, it was like they had been dating forever when it had been less than an hour. Weird.
It might have been less than an hour but it was just easy and right and she was completely content to have it keep going just the way that it was. She kissed him in return, her fingers slipping behind his neck to play with the bits of hair just above it. Even his hair was sexy. God how was he real?
Dimitri purred the littlest bit when her fingers played in his hair and his arms slipped around her waist to bring her into his lap where he could kiss her even more, feel her close. Her scent surrounded him and his own wrapped around it. His tiger was loving this and so was he.
Chloe let out a soft little sound of surprise when he pulled her into his lap, but she settled fairly easily and slipped her arms around his neck. It was sort of sexy that he could move her around so easily. She just hoped all the scent of arousal left her by the time she got home. His smell she could explain in being in close quarters, arousal wasn't likely something her dad would understand quite as easily.
He was trying to behave and really, his mothers would scold him, but she smelled and tasted so good and his tiger was enjoying her just as much as he. He did keep his hands from wandering too much, but it was hard. He pulled away from her lips to let her breathe, panting his own self. "I'm sorry...I should've asked before yanking you like that." he breathed, but he didn't regret it really. She felt too good against him. And she hadn't pulled away. Quite the opposite really.
She shook her head. "Don't be an idiot." she whispered in return, her fingers still playing in the hair at the nape of his neck. "I kinda like it when you're all rough with me." she admitted. Perhaps that wasn't something a very ladylike girl would say, but it was true and she was being honest, damn it.
"Are you sure we haven't been dating forever and we just forgot?" he asked with a teasing grin. "Cause I feel like I've known you forever." He gently stroked her cheek, looking into her eyes before giving her a soft kiss. "And I'll be however you want. And everything in between."
She felt that way too. "Maybe." she smiled. "Or maybe it's just fate or destiny or kismet or something." she shrugged, letting her fingers slide up into his hair and gently tugging the strands just to tease him a little. "I want you to be just the way you are." she assured him. "That's just perfect for me."
He let out a little growl at the tugging and something told him this girl would be the death of him in all the right ways. "I'm ok with whatever it is." he said. "And you, Freckles, are absolutely perfect for me." he said, nuzzling her, intent on getting his scent all over her. Mine
"I love it when you call me that." she murmured. She nuzzled him right back, thankful that he knew exactly what she was doing. Damn that made dating a whole hell of a lot easier. She should have been seeking out large cat weres from the start. "Don't let my daddy scare you away." she whispered aganist his mouth. "I like you too much to lose you after he puffs up his chest. Which he might not, but if he does, just act like it's not a big deal. He's really not that scary, at least not to me. My sister Charlie though... she can be scary." she teased.
Dimitri chuckled, kissing her again before kissing her all over her face, kissing those beautiful freckles. "No one is going to scare me away from you." he practically growled. She was his, finally, and that was that. No posturing from a lion was going to change that. "And I'm certainly not afraid of Charlie."
Smiling at the boy, she gently brushed her fingertips down his chest. "You're the first guy to ever be completely willing to meet my family." she admitted. "That puts you pretty high on my list." she murmured. "Like, right at number one."
He kissed her forehead gently and smiled softly. "I like being number one on your list." he said and there was no doubt in his mind that one day, he was going to marry this girl. She would be his and that was that. "What time do you have to go to work?" he asked, not wanting to make her late and at the same time wanting to have her call off and stay with him. Probably wouldn't be a good thing though. Bad impression on her dad and all.
"I don't have to be there til four." she told him. "So we've got some time. And I get out at seven." she added, figuring that was important information too. "Oh! I should um, probably give you my phone number." she said, realizing how ridiculous she'd been. She was dating the boy now, he needed her number. "Um... do you have a cell phone?" she asked, wanting to make sure. "Or should I write it down?"
Dimitri smiled and pulled his iPhone out of his pocket. "I don't know of any teenager in existence that doesn't have a cellphone." he said and put his arm around her, positioning the phone. "Smile." he said before kissing her cheek as he took the picture and offered her the phone to put her number into.
She grinned broadly when he kissed her cheek. That had to be the most adorable thing in the universe. She entered his number into his phone and called hers so she'd have his number. "You'll have to send me that picture." she smiled.
Dimitri looked at the picture as he gave her his phone back and it immediately became the wallpaper of his phone. He also sent it to her, as she asked. He never thought he would have a picture like this on his phone. But he did. Finally. "You're so beautiful." he said, smiling at her.
Chloe flushed at his compliment, but smiled all the same. "Thank you." she said. "Guess I owe it all to my mother and father." she laughed. She hadn't really had any control over what she looked like, but she was glad that he found her appealing. That was truly the important thing. So long as he was interested in her, she was happy. Like he had, she set the picture to the wallpaper of her phone and grinned a little. "You're not so bad to look at either, ya know?"
He laughed, a break of sunlight in the clouds immediately making his cat like nature take over. He laid out on his side, propping his head up as he smiled at her. "Well, thank you for that. Here I thought I'd never have a chance cause my looks were no where near as good looking as you."
"You've gotta be kidding me." she commented. "You're beautiful. I-I mean... um... y-you're handsome." she told him. Hot, gorgeous, fucking sexy as all hell. Any beautiful word you could think of. "I thought I didn't have a chance with you because you pretty much could have any girl in the world. I mean I'm usually not so 'he doesn't want me' about things, but you... I don't know." she sighed. "You g-give me butterflies. You have since that day in the bath-bathroom. And now you're making me stut-stutter with your adorable good looks."
"Oh, Freckles..." He drew her down to him, giving her a soft kiss. "I want you. I want you so much it's completely ungentlemanly." he said, running his fingers through her hair. "My mothers are going to smack me with a wooden spoon when I get home for acting like such a caveman."
"You're not a caveman." Chloe assured him, gently brushing her fingers over his cheek. "But now you've got me curious about all this ungentlemanly want." she admitted, despite the flush on her cheeks.
His own cheeks flushed red and he nuzzled her gently. "And I'm going to keep you curious because if I try to explain you'll think I'm a complete perv. and now, I'm going to shut up and just kiss you again because that seemed to keep me out of trouble." So he did just that, kissing her again, trying to keep from being more of an idiot.
Chloe lifted her hand, reluctantly pressing it against his chest and pushing him back after just a taste of a kiss. "Uh uh." she whispered. "I won't think you're a perv, but I wanna know." she smiled. "Give me just a little hint. Please?" Somehow the girl could make even a single syllable word like please come out like it had two or three syllables. Putting on her patented pout, she waited patiently to get what she wanted.
She was clever. Of course she was. And Dimitri could not say no to her for anything. Especially when she looked at him like that and used that voice. And that pout. He was done. "Jesus girl..." he said and laid all the way down cause he felt like he had been hit like a truck. "The scent of you was what drew me....all of you, the whole package is...Perfect. And...How could I not want you? Like, in the biblical sense?"
She bit her lower lip as he spoke about her scent and about wanting her biblically. It always seemed so funny to hear that particular action called that because most of the time religious people just wanted to keep sex out of your head, but whatever. "Maybe you shouldn't want that." she murmured, looking down at her fingers. "I mean I wouldn't be any good at it anyways." she explained.
"Hey..." He said as he sat up, slipping his fingers under her chin to tilt her head up, meeting her eyes. "I would never force you into anything you didn't want." he said softly. "Never. You have the reins in all things of that nature." Dimitri was just not that kind of guy. To him, it was all about the girl and what she wanted and making her feel good. "And I fail to see how you wouldn't be good at it."
Him tilting her head up only seemed to make her face more red and her voice a bit more soft pitched. She was thankful that he gave her the reins in all of that, but at the same time, she wondered why any guy would want to be in a relationship with a girl who wouldn't or couldn't put out. "Because I've never done it before?" she said with a shrug, flushing more at that admittance. "How could I be good at if I wouldn't even know what I was doing?" she asked him. "I'm sure you've got all this experience and I just... why do you want to be with me if you could have any of those other girls that'd love to hop into bed with you?"
Dimitri slid his arms around her, holding her close and stroking her hair. He was a complete idiot. "I'm sorry..." he said. He never should've said what he did. He was just so comfortable with her it had slipped out. "Firstly, get the idea out of your head that I have all kinds of experience, but cause I don't. Second, wanting to be with you has nothing to do with sex. It has to do with the fact that you're beautiful and smart and like croissants and have freckles and defend your sister from the other girls on the team even though she doesn't know you do....It's for all those things and a million things that I'm going to learn about you that I want to be with you."
And that had her pouting all over again, but because he was so damn sweet, not because she wanted something from him. "I don't want you to be sorry..." she told him, shaking her head a little as she wound her arms around him. "I just..." she shrugged slightly and tried to turn her thoughts into coherent words. "I like you, like alot and I want to get to know you even better than I ready to and I would love for my first time to be with you I just don't know when that first time is going to be and I don't want you to get bored with me before then and I... wait... how do you know that I defend my sister?" she asked, pulling back to look up at him.
"Chloe." he said, his voice firm. "We're not going to have sex tomorrow, or next week, or next month." he said. "We're not going to have sex with one another until it's right so please, don't worry about it. I'm sorry I was a total male asshole." he said, and totally felt like crap about this whole thing. How could he even think of bringing it up this soon? Probably because his dumb tiger ass had been pining over her for months. "I'm not going to get bored with you because I'm not in this for sex, I'm in this for you." His mothers had warned him that women could drive a man completely crazy. He was starting to get it now. "And I overheard you tell Karla that your sister was not a dyke and if she said it again you were going to claw her ass until she shit sideways." he said with a grin.
"Well, we might have sex next month." she said with a little flash of a grin. Okay, so maybe that was just to drive him a little batty, but she couldn't help it. It was part of the girl code; drive boys insane. "You're not an asshole either." she added. "I want to have sex like any other girl in the universe, especially with a guy as nice and cute and funny and sweet as you. So how bout we just agree that we'll have sex when it's right?" she shrugged. It was the best course of action. And maybe she'd be less nervous whenever the time was right.
"You're right, I did say that." she smiled. "I can't believe you were listening. She just made me so mad. I wanted to rip her eyes out and throw them out a window." Just thinking about Karla made her angry. The girl was smart though and had stopped talking shit, so there was that.
Dimitri smiled and shook his head. Yep. She was going to drive him completely insane. And he was going to love and hate it all at the same time. "I can agree to those terms. Now, you're going to be late for work." he said, pointing to his watch. "So we best be moving our butts."
She sighed a little exasperatedly. "Damn that work." she muttered, rolling her eyes and balling her fist in mock anger. "Fine. But promise me you'll be there at seven when I get off?" she smiled.
She looked so damn cute, pretending to be mad like that. "I promise to be there at seven and every other time you get off." he said cheekily before jumping out of the bed of the truck and offering his hand to help her down.
Chloe blushed a furious shade of crimson at his comment, thinking quite a filthy manner. She took his hands and climbed down with his help from the tailgate. Collecting her drink, she took a sip and then reached out with her free hand to catch him by the front of his shirt. Pulling her lips from the straw, she caught his mouth in a firm little kiss. "I'm sure I'll be there when you get off too." she whispered against his mouth. Take that, Hotty Mc Hotpants.
Oh yes, Dimitri was absolutely head of heels for this woman. He let out a little growl at her statement and nipped her lower lip playfully. "Come on then, working girl." he said and lifted her up into his arms, carrying her and putting her into the car himself, closing the door with a smirk before literally jumping on the hood of his car, letting his playful tiger side come out and hopping to the ground before getting in the driver's seat and heading off toward the boutique she worked at. Yes, he knew where she worked. He was such a damn creeper sometimes.
She hadn't even needed to tell him where she worked. "How long have you been stalking me?" she teased, smiling at the boy and scooting over in the cab so she could lean against his shoulder. She wanted to smell of him every time she breathed in and she sure as hell wanted any other bitches to know that he was hers. And if she got to be warm and cozy at the same time, well awesome.
Dimitri grinned a bit. "I only walked by a few times, promise." he said, turning just enough to kiss the top of her head. "I was trying to get the courage to ask you out one day last month and I found out from Lacy where you worked but I just couldn't do it." he said and blushed a bit.
"Chicken. Bawk, bawk, bawk, ba-gawk!" she teased, snuggling in a little more to him. "Someone was a fraidy cat." She couldn't help it, he was adorable when he blushed and maybe she wanted him to flush even more.
They were stopped at a red light so he turned and nipped her ear. "And what about you, lioness?" he asked. "You said you liked me just as much." He kissed her then, a bit of a rough kiss, full of passion. "Bawk." he said teasingly as the light turned green and he started driving again.
"Cluck, cluck." she smirked. It was true, she'd been just as big of a chicken, perhaps worse. "I don't think I'm going to warn daddy that you're coming around." she commented. "I don't want to give him any more time to plot out booby traps." she teased. In reality she didn't want to bother him while he was in the middle of working on his case anyway.
Dimitri pulled up in front of her work and parked, looking at her. "Baby, don't worry about your dad. I'm certainly not." he said with a smile before giving her a kiss. "I'll be back at seven to pick you up, kay?"
"Okay." she agreed, letting out a sigh. "Do you mind if I leave my bag in here?" she questioned, collecting only the few things she needed for work as she talked to him. "I mean if you're picking me up anyways, no point in having it tucked in the back room. But no going through it and snooping in my notebooks." she teased, flashing him a grin.
"Take away all my fun." he said with a dramatic roll of his eyes but grins. "You can leave your stuff in here, Freckles." He gave her yet another kiss, not really wanting her to go but figuring he could survive 3 hours. He had survived this long without her.
Chloe smiled against his lips and finally, reluctantly, pulled away and climbed out of the truck. "See you later." she said, waving a little at him before closing the door to the truck and heading into the boutique. Three hours was such a damn long time. Blah.
