Bobby came in from the scrap yard to find John working carefully on the table with all of his guns laid out. He was taking them apart, cleaning them and putting them back together. Bobby watched from the doorway, undetected for a few moments. He wondered what it would feel like to have those hands take him apart, manipulate him and reassemble him.
“Hey, Bobby,” John looked up at him. “Did you come in for something to eat?”
“Yeah. I think I’ll just heat up some left-overs. Do you want anything?”
“Just black coffee is fine,” John replied, never taking his eyes of his weapons.
Bobby reheated some food on a plate and wondered how he would get John’s attention. Their relationship was new and his need for John hit Bobby at the strangest times. He felt like a teenager all over again.
He carried the plate and the coffee over to the table. He set the plate down. John blindly reached for his coffee, his attention still on his guns. Bobby took his hand and placed it on his groin, where he was straining against his jeans.
John looked up at him.
“Think you could help me with this?” Bobby was embarrassed to have to ask.
“It’s the middle of the day, Bobby.”
“Apparently, it doesn’t care. I’ve been trying to ignore it and work on cars until it just got painful.”
“Yeah,” John wiped his hands off on a rag. He put a hand on Bobby’s cheek. Bobby closed his eyes and leaned into his touch. John’s lips touched his and he knew that all was going to be fine. John was there to take care of him. He’d be better than okay. He’d be loved.
