Thread: Academic Decathalon! A^2 (Abigail + Artie) Thread:A^2 for Academics! Date: 8/31, end of school Characters: Abigail, Artie, other decathalon peeps maybe Location: Artie's locker. Summary: After seeing the finals in Detroit, Abby knew that joining the Academic Decathlon would make her a shoo-in for Columbia. She tracks down the team leader in the hopes of joining.
With steadfast determination, Abigail moves through the crowd of students as if they know to bend to her sway - whether they do or not is another matter. Still, even if they resisted, her head stood proudly, smugly, above her shoulders. She's slinks her way through the crowd, just as Ginger would on stage, her dress swerving to her motion like she was adrift in the ocean.
Already late starting school, Abigail was extra conscious of ensuring her extracurriculars were in order. She already spoke with guidance about the formation of a new club, she sent out a notice for members, and now she was determined to join any preexisting clubs she hadn't the year before.
She had a few academic goals this year - a varsity letter, scoping out the choa lead in the school play (if one was going on, the drama department was terribly disorganized) and a perfect seat in the Academic Decathalon. She saw their impressive victory in Detroit, but had only the privilege to sit in the crowd. This year she was certain it'd be different, her perfect 4.0 shone proudly on her transcript, ensuring that the team would be foolish to resist her request to join.
He reasoning for attending last year was to see if the joining the team was worth some merit. She was adequately satisfied with their standings, relatively impressed with most of the teammates though it certainly amazed her how that blonde cheerleader ever managed to find the buzzer.
From her perfect Prada bag she pulled out a note, one that was folded and placed in a lace envelope. Scripted on the front of it was the name "Artie Abrams". With careful precision. she attempted to find a hole to slip the letter into the locker only to be interupted.
