Ramon and Rachel run into each other Who: Ramon Estrella and Rachel Berry (and a NPC appearance of Gabriela Estrella) Where: A grocery store When: 12 October at close to dinner time. What: Rachel and Ramon meet Warnings: Maybe some swearing? IDK. Status: Incomplete
Ramon felt like he didn't get enough sleep in the last few days. The price for all the dishes he broke and the sink he broke pretty much was two weeks' worth of work. And his family could not afford to take a cut at the moment. Ramon knew his mother was too proud and so vehement on her children going to college that Ramon knew she would be heartbroken to dig into college savings to pay for rent and for bills. Even though Ramon made excuses like he didn't break the sink when he kicked it with his super strength. He didn't drop the plates because he was trying to carry too many, deep down, he knew it was his fault. So he stepped up yard work and doing some fixing... some tutoring by Emma's insistence.
After football practice, he got a text from his mother saying she wouldn't be home until late and apologized for the lack of selection of food. So she wouldn't stress about grocery shopping, Ramon picked up Gabi from dance rehearsal and told her that he was thinking of grocery shopping for their mother. She agreed to it and even offered to dip in some of her babysitting money.
The two went down aisle to aisle, comparing prices and talking to each other in rapid Spanish. To the outside observer, they were friendly to each other and Ramon often gave his little sister an endearing smile when he didn't she was looking. Finally, he told her in Spanish, "Why don't you go and pick up some meat, chicken and beef. And go for the ones with the yellow sticker. We will probably eat it just before it goes bad."
"Yeah yeah," Gabi answered rolling her eyes as she headed off in that direction. He watched her go with an endearing smirk and then rolled his eyes when he saw her notice her friends and they did the annoying 13 year old squeal. Great, he'll probably be here longer than he supposed.
Turning back, he looked at a box of fruit loops and picked up to determine the price and if it was worth just getting generic kind.
