"Use 'em, enjoy 'em, love 'em. Don't knock things 'til you try them, dolly."
He smiled back at her. "You guys are actually pretty good together. I think you're good for one another. So whatever it is you're thinking about, don't worry."
Dave nodded, smiling proudly. "Built the bed, am building stuff in the garden, built the kitchen, built the walls...I'm a regular awesome dude." He looked over at her and noticed that she was basically asleep, so he just shook his head. "That's all I can think of, looked through the note cards and she didn't say anything else but...as a final word of advice, and probably the most important thing you'll take from this...be careful. All of you, be very, very careful. And stick together. The storm is coming and you'll need each other very soon. Now is not the time to burn your bridges."
He stroked a hand over her hair, and offered her one final smile, before he said softly, "Go to sleep. The future will wait."
