Thread: Self Defense Lessons Date: 8/26, Lunch period Characters: Kurt and his harem of men, Dave, Sam (and Puck?) Location: The quad Summary: Dave (with supervision from Sam (and Puck?)) gives Kurt self defense lessons.
Kurt spent third period still riding the buzz that had come from getting his way with Coach Sylvester. He couldn't explain why she seemed to have a soft spot for him, but he wasn't above taking advantage of it if it benefited him and his friends. He sat with Artie and Mercedes for Public Speaking, and did his best to pay attention. But it was still the first week of classes, and the teacher was still going over the basics. So it gave him plenty of time to think about what else he had scheduled for today.
Kurt had no intention of actually punching Finn, or even Puck, but the fact of the matter was the self defense lessons were probably something he should have done a long time ago. His father had shown him a few times how to hold his fist, but Kurt had found in the past running walking away or using his vicious, vicious words worked just as well. But he was going to be in the City next year, so it wasn't a stupid idea to have some skills to protect himself (and Rachel) with.
So, after third period he headed to the outdoor quad area to wait for the boys. It was surreal, thinking that Dave and Puck--who had both been his biggest bullies at one point or another--were going to be the ones giving him lessons. It should be weirder than it was, but the summer had mellowed them all out some. Probably because they'd spent most of it sick, and still lacked the energy to fall back into old patterns.
He dropped his bag in a safe spot, and decided he'd eat his lunch during their informal Glee meeting, as the other boys would be arriving soon.
