It was embarrassing to admit it, but lunch was probably Mercedes’ favorite time of the day. It was the time where things slowed down, friends talked, food was served, and everything was chill. Well, almost everything. In her world, though, things were very chill during lunch. Mercedes has just left class and made a beeline straight to her locker to put away anything unnecessary for the rest of the day. Her heels were nearly killing her feet but the compliments and looks she’d gotten from wearing them drove her to continue to wear them and walk with her head held high. When she reached her locker, she opened it and the note immediately caught her eye. With a slightly confused look on her face, Mercy opened the note and saw the unmistakable handwriting of Kurt Hummel.
Without a second thought, she closed her locker and went to find her best friend. It warmed her heart to have her best friend back. Before the summer, it had been a bit crazy not seeing and hangout out with him much. To her, it felt like Rachel and Blaine had doubly stolen him from her. It was a crazy thought, yes – but it still ran through her mind. After spending the summer getting back to their roots, things were back to normal. When Mercedes spotted him, she went to him and instantly gave him a soft hug. “You already know I’m in for video games and manicures! No gaming and partying nights are complete without a fresh mani and a Mercedes Jones & Kurt Hummel style ass-kicking in Halo.”
