Lucie dropped her eyes again, staring fiercely at the ground and digging her nails in deep enough to leave bruises on her arms. It took her a moment before she trusted herself enough to speak. When she did, though, it was firm, definite, as she struggled back into control of herself.
"Yes." No point beating around the bush, especially not after that. "Yes, if you can. Make sure they're healthy, well, happy, all that shit. And if you can find out where Kieran is, if he has powers... I guess he'll be at college now." That was jarring, too - the last time she'd really let herself think about Kieran, he hadn't even been in high school. But she'd got over that emotional little lapse, closing up the breach like it had never happened, and she refused to let it faze her. "Sorry to bring this shit to you, but I know you won't sell me out, and we're not close enough for it to put you in danger." I hope.
