Now Jordin was in his element: bragging about himself. "Well, as you could tell from looking at my name, I am a Lieutenant Colonel. Through my experiences in the military, I have learned how to weed out the weak from the strong.
"The business I currently work for had about 400 employed in the office when I joined, hiring anyone who seemed that they could do a good job. After a year of being under their employment, I whittled down the original 400 to about 30 who showed that they never fail. And then I sifted through thousands of potentials and hired exactly 168 employees who knew how to take orders and knew the consequences of failure. The company's quarterly profit is now what it made in a year, and the product quality is the better than any other office in the country. I strive for perfection with my cutthroat tactics and my record proves I attain it, at any cost.
"The reason why I'm heading into politics and not heading my own business is actually something my boss suggested. He said that with how I work, I would be more suited for this field. Admittedly, politics have always been an interest of mine, though I hadn't particularly liked the way it's portrayed. Of course, that's where I come in, isn't it? I have to make you look good, and build you up from behind the scenes."
Jordin thought for a second, then tacked on, "I also hire without discrimination based upon looks, gender, or habits. I care about how you work, not some superficial factor about you that doesn't mean anything."
And with a polite tone and a sweet smile, he turned toward Sebastian. "And my nickname is JoJo, Mr. Smythe. Not 'J. J.' ...Sir."
