Re: Attention Rose Morgan
Rose had very carefully paid absolutely no attention to the mental call for her to come to her assessment. When she felt herself begin to want to come, she had looked at her black leather combat boots, on which she'd written don't let them take you over and over in white-out, and her hands had gripped the desk until her knuckles crackled, and she hadn't moved. And then it had really started to hurt, resisting it, and though she'd held out until the absolute edge of her limits, her body eventually gave out and carried her unwillingly to the testing room.
When she reached the door, she stopped and composed herself, despite the incredible discomfort doing so caused. She was damned if she was going to give whoever was testing her the satisfaction of seeing that they'd made her come against her will. She was a solid quarter of an hour late, and she could still sure as hell make a show of defiance. Fighting her urge to just open the door and go in, she put on her earphones, turned the Cruxshadows up to a deafening volume pumping directly into her ears, so she could hear nothing else, dry-swallowed a handful of painkillers and stomped into the room, shoving her jacket aside so the legend on her t-shirt was clearly visible.
The moment she entered the room, the tugging inside her head stopped, and she couldn't hold back a sigh of relief. Other than that, though, she gave no sign of acknowledging the situation, just stood in the open doorway and nodded along to the music that echoed tinnily out of her headphones, utterly ignoring Sue's existence.
